The Sony A6000 Camera has been my first “grown up” camera. It’s been so easy use. The images are top quality! I also love that there are so many customizable settings. The auto focus works well and makes taking pictures easy. The battery life has also been great! It seems like it lasts a very long time. I trust this camera and brand to capture my life’s most important moments with amazing, high quality images.

I love this camera. I've always been into photography, I loved taking pictures of everything and everyone around me, and this camera was the perfect beginner-friendly camera for me.. It's not intimidating to use. With the right lens, my photos have been some of my favorite memories I have. The best part is being able to send my photos directly to my phones!! (I've had 3 since I bought the camera, all Samsung flagships, for reference) Being able to edit and/or share them is a breeze for me. My friends and family love when I have my camera with me for the holidays and events because it's just not the same as a cellphone picture. The body of this camera isn't heavy, the modes are easy to switch to, the lenses are easy to change, the flash is pretty decent, and the screen is a pretty good size (although it scratches easily, I found out late that there's screen protectors for it). Also, I like that the screen can be pulled up or down for when taking pictures at higher or lower angles. I've had this camera for a few years and it hasn't slowed down on me (shutter-wise, I was warned it happens). Also, getting to know the camera with all of its modes has been fairly easy, again, super beginner-friendly. So, I highly recommend it if you can still get your hands on one (I've heard they're becoming almost like a collectors item because so many models have come out since then, feel free to kindly correct me if I'm wrong) **AS FAR AS MY REVIEW PHOTO- I know it's a simple (I also wanted something recent) drink photo that doesn't show much of the quality, but most of my photos are of family so this was better for me. Take my word for it, this camera is the bomb.

I recently set out to find a good camera capable of DSLR quality images but in a compact, lightweight, and easy to carry around design. After carefully reviewing this camera as well as several others in its class, I settled on the a6000. I am pleased to say I love this camera. The quality of images is outstanding with the large sensor and high mega pixel count. The camera packs a lot of features to it. I love how fast the focus is and the amazing fps. My only major criticism of the camera: The lack of being able to use the auto bracket and timer mode simultaneously. This is a serious flaw that Sony needs to address and hopefully will with a firmware upgrade. It is possible to get the results you need but in a harder work-around. This is a serious flaw that Sony needs to address and hopefully will with a firmware upgrade. It is possible to get the results you need but in a harder work-around. So if you do a lot of HDR photography for example, this is something you will want to consider. I have a few non-serious nitpicks: -Some have criticized the battery life of the camera. While it could definitely be better, for the type of shooting I do (mostly travel photography and occasional high speed continuous shooting for action shots), I have been able to deal with it. But I also ordered two non-Sony brand batteries to use as back up which helps a lot. I recommend obtaining extra batteries to have on hand. The camera does feature a battery life meter on the display (indicated in %) to help you know when the battery is getting low. - The camera doesn't come with a body cap. While these are inexpensive and easy to obtain, it is nice to have a cap on hand, especially being a mirrorless camera where the sensor has nothing in front of it when a lens or cap is not attached. - A wall battery charger would have been nice. Instead, you must charge the battery via the camera and plug that in to the wall. Lame. Do yourself a favor and order separately, a wall charger and extra batteries for this camera. There are some non-Sony brand chargers/batteries on amazon you can get inexpensively. I ordered two non-Sony brand extra batteries and a wall charger bundled for about $25 and they work well and the charger also charges the real Sony battery. - Hopefully there will be more choices of Sony E mount lenses in the future. The ones I have used so far are good though. If rating this camera a 4.5 were an option, I would choose it. Only because of the issue of not being able to use the bracketing and using the timer simultaneously. But it wasn't enough to dock it a full point as it is something I am hopeful Sony can fix with firmware changes and is something I can live with if they don't. All in all, this camera has exceeded my expectations and is a joy to shoot with. You will especially love this camera if you don't want to carry a big heavy SLR around but still want excellent quality pictures. For my needs, this the best camera I have ever owned and I imagine it will last for a long time!

I love Sony products. Especially when it comes down to cameras. In the past I have purchased three different Sony cameras. Sony cameras are durable and it’s functionality is excellent. Every photo that you take tells a story. With the combination of the crisp clear images to the colors of every photo that you take it captures the essence of the moment making the memories come alive through every picture that you take. If you want high definition images. Sony will always over deliver and meet your expectations time and time again and guaranteed every time! I highly recommend the Sony camera for all your precious memories.
The Sony A6000 is the entry level now "obsolete" APS-C mirrorless body. It has a very giood electronic viewfinder and movable screen. I use mine for work type photos and with vintage lenses with adapters. This camera workes very well for this. I bought my first 6000 when my Nex 6 died. I have an use in which I take abotu 200 photos a day and my first A6000 had a few failures including a briedf fallure of the shutter to operate. This happened at a shutter count of abotu 300,000 operations so I bought this one to replace it. I used some contact cleaner on the shutter and failed adjustment knob wiht the result I am not used the replacement yet. I have ofund I do not need the features of the 6100 for what I do with this camera so I get the SOny system at minimla cost/
So after having used cameras for over 58 years should know something about cameras. This would be my third Sony one professional. Now to my findings on this with a E3.5-5.6/pz 16-50 oss lens. Some operations like deleting any photos can be a bit time consuming and if one function could have done this it would have been better. The zoom lens is noisy and rattles a lot which makes it feel a bit on the cheap side the zoom lever on the lens is not smooth so takes some getting use to. Having a non touch screen is good no messy finger prints on the monitor EVF is good I only ever take pictures with this method only downside it's fixed to revolve so 90 degrees would have been nice. Hot shoe, pity a blank was not fitted as that keeps it clean and looks tidy. Sutter is very noisy when taken photos maybe all the focal plane shutter cameras I owned over 50 years were never this noisyAs to operation of focusing that is good both in AF and manual also having manual control on all other settings are good. I cannot review as regarding movies because I never use a still camera for this Over picture quality is good for the lens. The slot for SD is terrible the only way of releasing it is with tweezers. Not having a battery charger is silly and having to charge through the small socket, No small socket with a cable going in and out will not last very long on gold contacts. So what this camera has to offer is good and I am pleased with the camera for my needs and as a user maybe take on average 20 to 200 shots a week is fine. I would recommend this Sony A6000 and for a camera to be in production for so many years speaks for it's self.
In the dance of light and shadow, a camera is more than a mere tool; it is a silent witness to fleeting moments, a keeper of secrets, and a storyteller without a voice. Each click is a heartbeat, capturing the essence of life that flutters by in the blink of an eye. The photographer, a maestro conducting an orchestra of pixels and lenses, finds harmony in the chaos of existence. With every frame, a new narrative unfolds, etching itself into the fabric of time.
For the last 20 years I’ve always chased the best camera phones available ( except Samsung) and in that chase I’ve always bought the peripherals, lenses , Shiftcam, polar pro lite etc…. I was just about to add the new ultra lenses from Shiftcam to the set up and then reflected, what am I doing??? God, get a real camera….. so did my research (I haven’t got a massive budget) and came across reviews and videos for the A6000. Well, took the plunge, added 2 other lenses, the SEL35F18 (fantastic) and the 50-200mm (not so fantastic but adequate) I’m so glad I took that plunge and ok, it’s a 2014 camera that’s got its pitfalls (video) I want a camera for stills. Wanted to wait at least 1 year before reviewing:Absolutely 100% BEST crop sensor camera I’ve ever used, and I’ve had 4 different brands. The ease of use and solid quality inside and out, makes this a workhorse. For the money, I doubt you could do better. Yes there are cameras with more features but unless you’re already an established photographer, you won’t even miss them. This is an ABOVE basic camera and 50mm lens on it is
I grew up using canon point and shoots but wanted to delve deeper into photography with a multi-lens digital camera. This camera and kit was the perfect choice. The Sony a6000 is affordable but also incredibly powerful and allows the user to take wonderful photos and video straight out of the box. Having the 16-50mm and 55-210mm lens allows for experimentation and a lot of fun with different subjects without breaking the bank. One of the things I love about this kit in particular is how lightweight it all is. I can carry the camera and both lenses with my lens cleanup kit and extra batteries in a backpack on a hike and it's darn near weightless. Allows for easy hand-holding shots. I can carry the camera and both lenses with my lens cleanup kit and extra batteries in a backpack on a hike and it's darn near weightless. Allows for easy hand-holding shots. Allows for excellent auto mode photos as well as a wide selection of manual features, which is great when you're learning about aperture, ISO, and the other scary photography terms that beginners need to learn. This camera was particularly wonderful when the pandemic hit and I (an educator) began to make videos for distance learning. I got a lot of feedback about how professional the quality looked which meant a lot. I highly recommend this camera/lens pairing for anyone looking to delve deeper into the world of photography. I especially recommend it for those looking for something that can easily come on hikes and outdoor adventures. There are tons of YouTube videos and articles out there to help you learn how to use it and if you find you'd like to upgrade someday, the Sony alpha series has a lot of options to choose from. The one bummer I've encountered is Sony prices tend to be higher when buying lenses and it can be tricky to find things on sale. Still, highly recommend.
