It would be a good inclusion in the presets for a ‘natural’ option picture.Maybe in the future I will hit upon a watchable combination but I’ve not had this problem with my previous (non OLED) sets.

Having been a loyal Sony customer for years, it was an absolute no brainer for me to purchase this one of a kind Sony A95L Master Series. The picture quality is simply breathtaking, thanks to the superior QD-OLED panel. It has made me rewatch multiple parts of films again, and I must say, utilising the included Bravia Core service takes this TV to new heights, and you will not be disappointed. On that note, having a PlayStation 5 connected via the HDMI 2.1 port allows you to unlock the full capabilities of the A95L, with the likes of the 120Hz refresh rate, VRR, ALLM etc.I must say the sound is amazing as well, and it really does come from the screen, providing a much more immersive experience, depending on the type of content you watch. The build quality and placement of the ports is far more modular and refined, and the TV overall is significantly thinner. I can ensure you will not regret this purchase, and this TV really is a master at work, hence the name.

I made a massive mistake. I had a previous model which had a software issue and I should have taken this as a warning. This TV is marketed as a smart TV except that it is not. You can not use ANY of the functionality unless you have a google account so you are tied to google. You can not down any apps for Android Tv that other TV's give you freedom to use. It has a webcam, which is totally useless. It can not be used with anything. Nothing works with it, I do not have an Iphone, it could possibly work with that, but if that is the case they should have stated so before purchasing so at moment its just junk. The only app available that could potentially use it is google meet, and that does not recognise or detect the camera in order to use it either, it is always looking to connect to a usb connected camera to make a connection. Not the one supplied with the TV that is directly connected with its own dedicated connection port. So google meet is useless unless i guess we buy another camera to connect to the TV. There is not one single app that can be downloaded that can connect with the the camera either. The user instructions are totally incoherent. You are bombarded with notifications trying to get you to subscribe to channels through its notifications. You remove the notifications and you just get them fired at you continually. A lot of functionality does not work for example red button functionality does not work properly Talking pictures Tv allows you to hit red button to start programmes from beginning or go to encore via the internet. Except on this Sony TV it does not connect, and does not also for example connect to any of the BBC text channels such as news via any of the coloured buttons. Any other TV i have in the house made by panasonic for example, does not have a problem they can connect to any of these services via the fibre broadband I have. But this very expensive TV totally dominated by google can not. This TV has cost me well over £2000 and it cant do basic things like that. Navigating to recorded TV programming is an absolute nightmare.. Channel list editing is a nightmare, takes forever because nobody could be bothered to come up with easier ways of doing it that other manufacturers have done. Even when you put the channels in the order you want them. The TV after a few weeks will automatically reboot itself without any reason and bang the channel list is totally out of order and you have to do it again. Whether it records or not is hit or miss. For example it will record one channel on timer no problem. The next one it will automatically reboot instead or recording. Or you could go into the programme guide to set a timer to record a programme a couple of days away. But press the button to set the timer, it does not in fact do that it goes into reboot. Go to turn a channel over using programme guide and it freezes to a blank screen. And as for getting this sorted with Sony, There is no point even trying. I tried to get another tv fixed that stopped operating when they initiated a forced software update, which was interrupted when the power went off. The result being the software update did not fully download. leading to a tv that would not operate. Sony just did not give a flying feck. So my recommendation is to avoid this product like the black death. In fact avoid anything from Sony that has anything to do with Google its a total and utter disaster
I recently bought a Sony A80K TV which offered a massive upgrade over my old Sony LED TV. This TV is bright!Overall, the Sony BRAVIA A95L is an excellent TV that delivers amazing picture quality, whether you are watching upscaled SDR content or UHD 4K Dolby Vision HDR or anything in between. The A95L deserves its title as the best TV that is available on the market right now (January 2024).
Super happy with this purchase. I am coming from a Samsung 4K LED that still looked good but the step up in picture quality from OLED and Sony's image processing is still amazing. I watch a lot of streaming shows in SDR and Sony makes them look great. That said, shows that stream in HDR are really next level. The brightness of some of the HDR elements almost hurts my eyes ... but in a good way.NFL season just started and opening games looked fantastic. Dialogue is clear and easy to understand and the general sound quality is good and full. We are not big movie watchers and my wife likes to police the volume regardless. I am sure anyone looking for big sound will add a soundbar but just wanted to be clear for people like us that want to use the TV sound that this TV sounds great.I wall mounted this TV using HangSmart and that worked great. I love how clean it looks on the wall and I highly recommend HangSmart to anyone mounting a TV.I was using AppleTV with my Samsung but decided to try the built-in GoogleTV so that I could keep the mounting cleaner. So far, I am not missing the AppleTV. All of the services we use are available and the interface is smooth. The integration with YouTubeTV is obviously quite good and the search feature seems better than Apple's.The first TV I received had a single bright red pixel that was stuck on. BestBuy service was great and they delivered me a replacement right away. The second TV is perfect. Having this problem made me very happy that I decided to buy this from BestBuy and did not have to deal with an online return and shipping. One note. BraviaCAM seems useless. The only feature I am using is the one that adjusts the sound to where I am sitting. It might make a difference but hard to tell. There are no video chat apps available for this Bravia model so the camera offers no real value or function. Kind of weird since this is the only Sony TV that includes the camera but just thought it worth mentioning. I will probably just detach the camera at some point if this does not change.
Plain and simple, this TV is amazing. Visuals look amazing, features are modernized and easy to access, and gaming is fun on this!Visuals - colour accuracy is outstanding. Straight out of the box, I feel I do not need any type of calibration done. I’ve tried some minor tweaking, but ultimately felt it was unnecessary. Professional mode is definitely a favourite for non DV media, and DV dark is setting media at its best I believe (so far with my collection). Dimming zones leave no choice to ‘settle’ between dark and bright, you get both with a clearly smooth transition!Gaming - is beyond immersive now. Whether playing on a PC or console, single player story driven games never looked better (sorry, not much for massive multiplayer shooters that FPS is paramount, but overall, visuals are buttery smooth for a tv).Sound - not too much to write home about. It comes with a decent 3D audio program that works in tandem with the speaker setup (and with PS5). However, if you are investing this much into a TV, sound should be coming from something more than your TV. But the 3D option shows a better quality than its competitors I believe. Sound pass through is exactly how it should be. No issues there.Features - the OS is Google TV. Right at your fingertips (literally and figuratively), navigation couldn’t be easier. Much better than past iterations and easily better than its competitors. I’ve had zero issues with accessing onboard apps and playing around with menu settings. Using your phone to signing in and pairing preferences made this all happen under 5mins of set up. Haven’t tested the Bravia cam yet, unfortunately I can’t say much on that front.Extra: Like most people (my guess), the usage of our entertainment room is mixed between gaming and movie watching (physical). I’ve been interested in Dolby Vision and most certainly interested in QD-OLED technology as it made its way in 2022. As it’s been quite awhile since I purchased my last television and over the last year I’ve been researching what to invest in (definitely recommend doing your own no matter what when making a purchase like this) and settled on this, which made the best of all worlds.Final - if you are wanting all the bells and whistles (QD-OLED with Dolby Vision, VRR, 120hz, etc) and willing to pay a premium over Samsung (the alternative to this type of TV, unless you want full WOLED with LG), this definitely is a TV that’ll cover you the next 8-10years or so (at least for me). I’ve experienced nothing bad so far, only good.

I don’t have to worry about dropping it, cracking the highly sensitive screen, pieces not fitting properly, missing parts, or reading allll of the instructions on how to program it or how to add/pair additional remotes. I know it will get done right and get done quickly — very quickly. As always. With Home Install NONE OF THAT IS YOUR CONCERN (oh look, there’s my smile!). If the item breaks/gets damaged during transport or install Best Buy’s got it covered, which is nice to know given smartTVs have such highly sensitive screen surfaces. And they always send two techs, making install super quick. They were done in about 20 minutes, which included unboxing, taking down the old 73” flatscreen, hanging the new tv, hooking-up the new tv, programming it, pairing the Roku remote, showing me some of the Sony remote functions, and removal of the packaging if you don’t wish to keep it. When they left they said I could contact them any time if I had any Qs or issues.Who knew that’d be just two minutes later, after they’d just left for their next appointment? I sent them a frantic text and they offered to come back when done with their current install (thank you!). Even though it was getting late, they drove back out and fixed the issue (a simple conflict with our home audio setup which they diagnosed in about 30 seconds!). Two minutes after arriving they were back out the door, and we had an amazing, quality tv that worked.Simply put, Geek Squad Home Install removes all of the anxiety while saving me time.As for my review of this product:It’s super lightweight, making it easy to hang; and the picture quality is excellent. But since this was only installed today, I’ll update this post in a few months after I’ve had time to really use it.
This is arguably one of the best TVs on the market. Sony has a winner with this one. I can see why they use this model on film sets to get the most accurate color.I’ve been using this model for about 1.5 months now, and I have to say, it’s been an incredible experience. The picture quality is absolutely stunning (i.e. brush strokes in matte paintings from old movies!). The OLED panel delivers deep, true blacks and vibrant colors that make everything from movies to video games pop in a way that’s almost lifelike. Fast-paced scenes, whether in action movies or sports, stay crisp and smooth, with no noticeable blur or judder. This makes watching high-action content feel immersive and cinematic. The sound quality is also impressive for a TV. While I haven't invested yet in a soundbar or component audio for a more immersive audio experience, the built-in speakers deliver clear dialogue and decent bass for casual viewing.Additionally, the Google TV interface is super easy to navigate, with quick access to all my streaming apps and services. I also appreciate the voice control feature—it makes searching for content effortless.Overall, this TV has exceeded my expectations. It’s a bit of an investment, but for anyone looking for a premium OLED experience with stunning visuals, smooth performance, and smart features, the Bravia XR A95L is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!
Purchased a Sony A95L, after looking at this expensive/flagship model for quite some time. I have always had very good luck with Sony products, and this is no exception, so far. This particular item was an open box, listed as excellent. It was the only one showing within at least a couple hundred mile range. Open Box, Excellent, was described as, "Looks brand new, Includes all parts/accessories, and Typically contains packaging". After trying to call the store directly, trying multiples ways to get thru, it was determined that you can no longer actually call a store directly, but always get routed to a call center. Like all companies that seem to want to make it difficult to get thru to an actual person, let alone one that is more local, that is not a positive ... After trying to call the store directly, trying multiples ways to get thru, it was determined that you can no longer actually call a store directly, but always get routed to a call center. Like all companies that seem to want to make it difficult to get thru to an actual person, let alone one that is more local, that is not a positive arrangement. After deciding to drive the roughly 140 miles to that store, and carefully measuring to make sure that this TV box would fit inside of a full-size SUV (after considering renting a van or pickup), when getting to the store, they rolled out the TV wrapped in bubble wrap (with no original packaging). Based on the discounted price, I decided to take the chance and get it. Upon getting it home and removing the bubble wrap and plastic wrap, I was able to see several fingerprints around the edges, mostly where someone might hold it in order to carry it, but definitely more than one would expect. It also had a few minor marks on the screen. After researching how to clean an OLED screen, which most information indicates should be done very carefully, I undertook that task. After using a mild vinegar water mixture and a couple microfiber cloths, it looked better, but in the right light still had some fingerprint residue, and minor marks. All of this made me wonder, what kind of people buy a TV this expensive, and actually touch the screen that much. Why bother buying a TV of that caliber, and then treat it that way? It really makes no sense! Anyway, as black as the screen is, when turned on, the picture is great, and you really cannot see any of this. The TV itself is absolutely superb! Best Buy did have an excellent price, as an open box item (particularly for a fairly new and flagship model)! The manufacturers should definitely not make screens that are that susceptible to fingerprints and marks, on a material that is then very difficult to actually clean. But, that is not the fault of Best Buy. From a maintenance and durability standpoint, the glass screens of an older Plasma TV make far more sense. I have been a regular buyer of Best Buy for a long time, and have bought a wide variety of products, and have always had good experiences (at least for the things that they can control). Even though I felt that there were a few hiccups, that is the real world. I would definitely recommend Best Buy, and Sony.
