Installed it on a 2000 Ranger, (little budget bucket) Looks good, has good EQ features that I like. But the thing that is a complete turn off is the Bluetooth feature. I’m used to getting in all my cars, turning them on and automatically be connected, this unit here I actually have to fiddle with almost 80% of the time to connect to it. I don’t read manuals most of the time things are straight forward, I READ THIS MANUAL THOUGH, trying to figure out if there was something I overlooked as far as connectivity went, nope. Not sure what to return cut off is, but if it wasn’t such a pain to do all the wiring, I would have taken it back a month ago. For a little over $100.00 you can’t expect much though. So you either love or hate this thing…

I have an older car that doesn’t have bluetooth. I love how this will (usually) connect to my iphone and start playing not long after I start the car. It’s all I really need for the purpose.A few quirks…- I turn on car, sony starts to auto play… then silence for 3 seconds… then plays for 2 seconds… then plays like normal. Weird. I can live with it.- When I use siri in the car while connected to the car stereo, I guess siri enters a “car mode” and will no longer display any info. I suppose this is to prevent distractions, but I find it MORE distracting. This is a nuisance if you are trying to find something while driving (while the phone is dash-mounted of course. Outstanding stereo unit! It's easy to use and to navigate the controls. The manual is easy to read and understand. The sound is also great and the Bluetooth also works great! Connecting my phone to the unit was very easy and so far the connection has never been lost and Bluetooth calling also works without any problems.I am also able to play the music from my phone using Bluetooth and the sound is enhanced and comes through great!In addition, the display is bright enough to see in the sun's glare and also, shows the phone number during a Bluetooth call. Just a great stereo! I'm definitely satisfied!

It took him about an hour to take out his old one and put in this new baby. It came with the stereo sleeve with release keys, a removable face panal, remote control, harness wires, mounting screws, and operating manual and warranty. It has bluetooth connection, AUX and USB inputs on the front panel. It is also compatable with SiriusXM and pandora if you have or want those subscriptions. With all the complaints I have I think my biggest is the knob which is very sensitive to touch. The problem with this is if you go to change the radio volume and hit a bump or accidentally apply too much pressure it pushes the knob button which accesses the menu and doesn’t let you change the volume so when you turn the knob it scrolls the menu and you have to go back to change the volume. I have a lowered car with a bit of bounce so this is super annoying. To avoid this problem I just use the remote which shouldn’t be something I need to do. I know several people who love Sony units and continue to buy them but this one is just not for me.
Firstly, I bought this unit because of the 2 sets of RCA jacks on the back. It has rear pre-out as well as subwoofer pre-outs. All the others only had 1 set of jacks for subwoofer. I installed a system with2 amplifiers. 1 for the rear and doors and 1 for a 12" subwoofer. Sounds great! It also has great functions and high end settings for sound. Not just "bass and treble" like 99% of the ones in this price range. It's also got Bluetooth for my phone, hands free calling, and a USB for charging. It's blue face matches all the other gauges in my car and it slid right into the single DIN slot in the dash without ANY tools or modifications. Price wise? Your not gonna do any better that this.

The product is a universal player so it should theoretically be compatible with most car models that still support independent player. I really enjoy the new look, classy with blue neon light. There is a convenient USB-A port for charging any device as well as an aux port. The USB port can also take in USBs! Bluetooth-enabled of course so you can connect it with another smart device. The control panel is quite simple with functionalities such as the call button, FM/AM radio control, and bass settings.
