This is an awesome 5 disc DVD changer! Much better than the Panasonic 5 disc DVD changer I had. Has everything you could ask for including a HDMI connection. They only thing that could have made it better is if it was a 5 disc Blu-ray changer! Definitively worth the money I paid for it! If you are thinking about getting this 5 disc DVD changer stop thinking and buy one!!!

Arrived with a logic board malfunction that is impossible to repair. The construction of the player itself is flimsy and cheap. Not Sonys finest hour. Feeling thoroughly burned.

I am a real believer in the merits of owning the Sony NC85H 5-disc cd/dvd HDMI player. I have now accumulated seven of them (in two homes) and each has it's separate duty. Several are devoted to CD useage. In the case of box sets, you can load up to five of the discs into the NC85H, click on the All Discc Repeat, and go about your business listening to each of the discs in the background, one after the other. Love this Sony 5-disc changer. So convenient for a movie lover like me. The high-def picture and digital sound are great. Having a wonderful time with this clever machine!
great image quality, smooyhly transitions from disc to disc, can be programmed in multiple ways. All around great product. Wish I could find another one!
This player is awesome! It is great to have 5 different shows in each player. Every evening we use the skip disc button and it automatically starts playing the next disc for us. You never know which of the 5 shows you will get which is cool! I would highly recommend this player if you do not need Blu-Ray or anything that connects to apps such as Netflix.
The item was not sold as described. Does not work well without the correct remote (one received is for a CD player not DVD). When finally found a correct remote for it, the unit doesn't work. Does not read ANY dvds and 1 out of 5 CDs. Unit has no front display to show you any information as to what track, scene, or which tray is being used.

The disc resume feature works great if you pause one dvd and want to watch another disc in the tray you can go back to the first disc and it picks up right where you left off. I spent a few minutes fiddeling with these options and I am now getting way better picture and sound from my LCD TV than with my old dvd player. The only negative thing I would have to say about this dvd player is that it does seem to take a little too long to load and read DVDs the first time you put them in, and it takes up a bit more space than other players. But the space thing is because you can load 5 discs so its a give and take thing there. I would not spend Hundreds of dollars on this player, but if you cant afford Blue Ray and you can scoop this puppy up used for less than $70.00 I would say you have made yourself a wise investment.
HDMI output image is very good although not quite as good as blue-ray player but it is great for binge watching movies. Sony remote works well with it. I had to buy HDMI adapter for it so the line-out video and sound would work through HDMI connection.
I can't program tracks like I cAN on my CD 5 shooter but maybe it wasn't designed for that.The picture through html is EXCELLENT ! even some Amos & Andy and Burns & Allen black & white. Kinescope? Finding the proper remote was a bit of a problem. It takes 176a if you want to get full benefit of multi use.
