[Rewarded Review] Bad charger? Or fake products?

I have one Sony battery that was included with my a6500. I had two off-brand backups that eventually lost their ability to charge. So I ordered two (allegedly) legitimate Sony batteries. My charger will not even light up one green to indicate it is charging. Other than the orange charge light indicator, no sign of life (or charge level) from either battery. I will leave one battery on the charger, testing to see whether it is warm--looking for any sign of life--throughout the day or night. I did confirm that the batteries arrived with zero charge (by inserting one into the camera). Perhaps I received old batteries. I will attempt to update this review if I see any sign of life after six or eight hours on the charger.

[Rewarded Review] Does not compare well with third party batteries.

I recently bought a new Sony FW50 and at the same time SmallRig and Duracell. I've been logging shot counts with each. I normally (always) get lower than advertised shots per charge because of the way I use the a6500 but I abuse them all the same so the comparison should hold. This is since July 2023, 4 months, 2986 shots in all.Shots per charge average:Sony: 185SmallRig: 246Duracell: 255Surprised me, but it is what it is.

Its ok, but loses power very quickly. The rating indicates that the battery should be able to do about 380 shots. I have been getting maybe 80. Yes, there is a time issue here. I don't use the camera often.I have read that the battery drains quickly as a causal result. Compared to my Nikon batteries, the Sony ones are not as durable or long lasting. Better than the third party versions I would imagine.

[Rewarded Review] Nothing beats the real deal...
19 April 2024

After wasting good money on third party batteries, I have decided to only buy Sony batteries. Why take a risk on an expensive camera that can be damaged by a cheap battery? I have had cheap ones that ended up swelling and luckily was able to remove it before real damage was done to the camera body. These Sony batteries have built-in safety features that are made to work with Sony battery chargers. They are expensive initially but quite possibly cheaper in the long run, all things considered. I use the NP-FW50 in my Sony a6400.

[Rewarded Review] Received empty box
12 July 2024

Battery works well and held charge for just as long as the original battery that came with my camera. I did this order as a drive-up pickup and unfortunately the box given to me was empty (I assume it was KT.) I immediately went in the store and explained what happened to the workers inside. They were extremely helpful to me and resolved my issue quickly. Love this battery and the camera I got previously to use it in. No complaints with value or quality.

[Rewarded Review] The Trusted and Reliable Sony OEM NP-FW50 Battery
16 August 2024

You can't go wrong with the Sony OEM NP-FW50 battery. Other off brand batteries get close but none hold a charge or last as many charges as these do.I've been in a pinch to get some extras for shoots and Best Buy has routinely had them in stock for in-store pick the same day. Now that I've picked up a handful of these I'm shooting for 8hrs or more with no stress about running out of juice.

[Rewarded Review] This battery allows non stop picture taking!
5 January 2023

These Sony batteries are what go in our new camera's and we believe in always being ready for a great picture. SOO with that said one battery that came with the camera is not enough. We always go for at minimum 2 batteries. We currently take so many pictures we have 3 batteries for each camera of which we have to of the NEW Sony RX10-IV which have a range up to 600mm.When you ask for value.... Everything is expensive today so I give it a 4... because it is actually the cost of doing business.... even on vacation!
