DualSense drift with a fairly new Sony PS5 controller. Not even a year old and my left joystick is registering movement on screen despite the me not touching the controller. So, for example, your character might move in Fortnite, even though you're not actually touching the DualSense. I don’t play that often and the control has little hours of use time. This is sad for a control that is worth $69.99

Bought the blue one as it was the only color worth picking up and in stock. Got it on sale for 25 dollars cheaper and it's decent. I play Xbox mostly so I can't be objective here as I havent had the same amount of hours on it as I have xbox controllers. But it's better then any Playstation controller I've used in the past. The left thumb stick placement is my biggest issue next to the haptic feedback which doesn't feel like much to me and could be a bit stronger. Other then that solid controller for the price I payed, but I wouldn't pay full for it.

Controller technology is very cool - great for immersion and I also like the aesthetics. However if you are having an intense gaming session and your hands get sweaty, the muck builds up and gets smeared all over the controller, such as in the crevices - I have to wipe it down fairly often. A major flaw is the L2/R2 triggers have a very cheap spring inside and don't last long. My R2 has no resistance and I had to order new springs to replace the broken one. It's relatively easy to open and replace, but still a hassle. If you look online, this is a very widespread issue. Hopefully Sony can address this and at least put better quality into these.

The New PS5 DualSense Controller Is Excellent. The New Features Really Add To The Gaming Experience (But If You Don't Like The Adaptive Triggers Or Vibrations, They Are Easily Turned Off In The PlayStation Settings). The Controller Might Be A Little Big For Some, But You Get Used To It After A Couple Of Weeks. The More PS5 Controller You Plan To Get, The More I'd Recommend Getting The Wireless Charging Station. It's A Little Costly But It Will Save You A Lot Of Trouble. But The PS5 Comes With A Wired Charger For The Controller So If You Don't Want To So If You Don't Want To Spend Much More Money, You Should Be In The Clear. So I've Found Some YouTube Videos Very Helpful For Any Other Issues I Encountered With My Time With The Controller, But How Often Certain Issues ... MoreThe New PS5 DualSense Controller Is Excellent. So I've Found Some YouTube Videos Very Helpful For Any Other Issues I Encountered With My Time With The Controller, But How Often Certain Issues Come Up Depends On The Controller (The Odds Are Unfortunately Very 50/50), So Just Be Ready To Contact Customer Support In The Worst Circumstances. But All That Said, I'd Still Recommend This To All Gamers As It Really Adds To The Gaming Experience And Makes Every Game More Immersive And Memorable (Games Like Ghost Of Tsushima, Ratchet And Clank, And Returnal Are Among Some Of The Best Games To Go Along With The Controllers Specs). But Of Course It's Made Exclusively For The PS5, So If You're Wanting To Get One For A PS4, That's Probably Not Gonna Work Out. Anyways, Highly Recommend For Gamers New Or Pro, Will Be Worth Your Time And Money.
We picked up our system 7/31/22, and the controller that came with it has a drift problem on the left joystick. We are not young kids and don’t eat food or drink anything while gaming. We played through Borderlands 3 once when we first got the system, and the controller has hardly been used at all. We recently decided to play through BL3 again and now there’s a drift. We have an ancient PS4 and both controllers have no issues. I work for my money and value my time to earn my money, but it appears to me that Sony does not want to take responsibility for this. They have forgotten what it is like to be a worker, and from articles I’ve read, it appears they simply don’t care. Despite being a Sony product for the PS5, the dual sense controllers are of poor construction. I have 2 that I purchased. Within 30 days, my new controller drift and often resets the touchpad settings making it frustrating to reconfigure every time I use it. My older DS5 controller joystick sensitivity issues (almost like a blind spot.) The DS5 controller that came with my PS5 lasted the longest (over 1 year, but now has issues with the Left trigger button, L2.) I have had to return and exchange my controllers multiple times. It's just not worth the short shelf life and extra hassle. plus, they're too expensive.
So this is my first ps5 controller and I had to pre order this Spiderman edition being a fan since childhood. Quality is great. Nice smooth black finish and clean graphics. Works great with the Steam deck without having to do any type of firmware update. *cough* Series x starfield controller..*cough* I currently use the 8bitdo ultimate controller so this one probably won't get a ton of use but awesome collectors item if you're into that. The next iteration definitely could use hall effect sticks and a better rubber compound for the sticks but I'm more than happy to have picked this up.
Use of the DualSense over the course of a few months caused me to develop a repetitive stress injury. I have been playing games on other consoles for years but with this particular controller I had terrible luck. I attribute this to a few factors, mainly the controller is much chunkier than a typical xbox/switch/earlier PS controllers, the shoulder buttons are much stiffer, and it's quite a bit heavier than other gamepads. I am now using a different brand of controller for PS4-compatible games on PS5, and have disused the DualSense altogether until some alternative is available. Unfortunately, this is the only controller compatible with PS5-native games on PS5.
Playstation hit it out of the ball park with this one! The Spiderman 2 PS5 exclusive controller is a home run in my book. As well as a must-have for any Playstation/Comic collector! Having the red & black paired color design representing Spiderman & Venom all over this thing, I mean, really, how could they have gone wrong. Right? I personally just love the Venom symbiote design (it being my favorite part of the thing) paired with the pops of red as well as the Spiderman sign just brings it on home for the fans! Plus, it feels awesome in the hands for extensive game play! And the motion sensors are sick! Get this thing...You won't be disappointed!
My first PS5 Controller I owned aside from the standard white. After using the white one for a long time it looks pretty cool. The red isn't as bright as it is in the photo.I don't like how the top part is smooth and has plasticky feel. The Red on the controller is not as bright as it shows in the photo. Most photos enhance the red on this controller to look bright so. It looks more darker in person like a something you'd see on live action Deadpool costume tbh. The top black part picks up oils off your fingers easily. You'll definitely see oil smudges here and there. Other than that its a pretty neat controller. The White buttons stand out.I added a photo to closely show how it really looks naturally
