Love my Vita! And really loving the price from Retro vGames for games. I rarely purchase just released consoles simply because the games are outrageous. The vita also has great graphics for a handheld and a pretty impressive battery life. Well worth it in my opinion.

I bought it used and It was supposedly scratched on front and back BUT it came looking like it was Brand new. It had no scratches at all. It even came with 1 screen protector and 1 back panel protector preinstalled. Best purchase of my year so far! Thank you Retro vGames.

A Handheld Worth Far More Than Its (Light)Weight

The Vita is likely the greatest true handheld ever designed (the Switch, while lauded for its flexibility, is significantly more cumbersome and less suited to the on-the-go play-style associated with handheld gaming). The 2000 model improves on the original model through its reduced weight, improved button layout, and USB charger (as opposed to the proprietary charger cable for the original model). Some detractors suggest that change from the OLED screen of the 1000 model indicates a significant reduction in image quality, but I've not noticed it much. The system is great for on-the-go gaming and has an expansive library for a particular kind of gamer (one who enjoys JRPGs and/or indie games, likely).

I love this thing. I am not a huge Playstation fan and even less of a Vita fan but this "slim" version is absolutely stunning. This is what the Vita should have been all along. The original is beautiful as well but I find this one is on another level. I got mine in orange as it's my favorite color and man is it amazing. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. As far as a system is concerned, if you liked the Vita, this is just a slightly remodeled Vita. It is the same without the Oled screen which I don't think added too much to a screen that size, except making the system more expense than it needed to be. I liked my original Vita fine but I never really used it. This one however, I want to actually play. Interesting how a small redesign and gorgeous color makes ... MoreI love this thing. Interesting how a small redesign and gorgeous color makes me want to use this device I've basically ignored for 4 years when I already owned one.

Good but bad

Was excited to get a nice looking psp vita. Bought a game online but before that I noticed the up arrow continued to go crazy. Keeps getting worse. Bought another game at game exchange. Call of duty. Can’t even play it because it tries to go forward continuously. Can’t aim at all due to this which makes the entire thing useless!

Great Hardware that is crippled by Sony softlocks. Can only truly sing after being rooted/jailbroken.

One true PS4 Hackers Gitao aka BTFommy This is probably the most famous hack in history. It works on most firmware versions from 2.30 to 3.18. Many reviewers say that this hack is overpowered (i.e. can destroy consoles) and recommend it to absolutely no one.

Great portable sized console.

I bought this console because i was unable to get the device on the initial release date when it first came out. This product being out of production now still showcases some of the best features in our modern day gaming. It has a big collection of games available in the inbuilt game store. The consoles displays are really crisp with the OLED screen and buttons are easy to press. The console uses both digital games and also physical copies of games which are widely available at game stores and on ebay itself. Not too expensive but they are becoming a bit rare these days. its one of those devices you would love to have if you are a collector of older hardware.

This is my review of the Sony PlayStation Vita 2000 (Slim) model. I have never owned a Vita before but I recently became interested in getting one. I was a bit hesitant at first due to the little support it does get and the fact that I'm about 5 years late to the system. I looked into the games that it had though and decided to take the shot. I'm definitely glad I did. It's like the PSP, but 100x better. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's amazing how the Vita can play near PS3 quality games on the go and all systems before. Not only are there some great PS3 ports, but also many good PS2, PS1, and PSP titles as well. Another bonus is the fact that you can play PS4 titles (if you already own a PS4) on the device as well! That's a ton of games. The hardware is ... MoreThis is my review of the Sony PlayStation Vita 2000 (Slim) model. I have never owned a Vita before but I recently became interested in getting one. That's a ton of games. The hardware is beautiful and the speakers are really superb as well. I was able to watch a full movie on the system without the need of headphones, which was surprising to me. The screen quality is high and very colorful, although I've heard the original model's OLED screen looks even more bright and colorful. In the other hand though, you're getting much better battery life as well (I've gotten around 6-8 hours with the screen at full brightness, depending on the type of game/content being used), so I think it's a pretty good trade off. It's a shame that Sony doesn't support the console more, but don't let that scare you away. There are many great games that definitely make the console worth getting in my opinion. The PS3 port of Mortal Kombat alone makes it worth it for me. It plays exactly like it did on the home console and it's on the go! If you're thinking about getting one, you should. There are plenty of great games for everyone, no matter what genre you like. From PS1 classics to the Vita games themselves. A great handheld offering a massive amount of high quality content I believe is worth $200. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and take care. Hope I helped.

This unit is not charging. User did not use it, couldn't get it to charge or put it in use. I have it in Guyana as a white elephant and would like to return it upon my return in later this year. Please advise.
