Sony SRS-XB33 B [Wireless Portable Speaker Bluetooth Compatible Black] Shipped from Japan
Equipped with two full-range speaker units with a diameter of about 48 mm, it achieves high sound pressure that exceeds the size and powerful deep bass. In addition, the size and arrangement of the grill opening has been improved, and the opening ratio has been increased by approximately 14% compared to conventional models. The mid-high range such as vocals has also become clearer. In addition, it is equipped with an "EXTRA BASS" mode that enhances the bass. In addition to enjoying deep bass that exceeds the size, Sony has also introduced advanced high-quality sound technology cultivated by Sony, such as "DSEE," which effectively complements the treble range that tends to be lost with compressed sound sources such as flat-rate distribution services. You can enjoy your favorite music with high sound quality unique to Sony.

As others have commented, the sound from this little speaker is impressive and better than I expected when I purchased it. Well-rounded sound and not at all lacking in bass. I bring it with me when I travel and usually charge it between trips, whether or not it needs it. It doesn't take long to charge at all. I don't use it a lot and I'm beginning to think the battery might last forever. My only criticism is the lighting. I really don't need or want the wraparound pulsing lights. Frankly, they are distracting. I'd rather have the volume and other control buttons lighted, Overall, it was a good purchase and I would buy it again.

The world is flooded with these types of speakers, from the cheap to the super expensive ones that will also mow your lawn.Professional reviews are all over the map and most consumers will always say my purchase was great. Or was it? All ears are different which makes the selection even harder. So why did I choose Sony? The LDAC connection. I have been using this version of Bluetooth for many many years and besides the solid connection, I found the sound quality more to my liking. My Shure headphones use this as do my Sony Hi-RES players which connected instantaneously to the xb 33.Nice clarity with some oompf but not overpowering the mids as so many bass-heavy speakers do.The lights are fun but not my style. A year or two I finally broke down and bought the Sony XM4 over the ear headphones and was blown away by the sound quality and especially the noise cancelling. Then I eventually got the other XM4 earbuds. I had been using a little Anker Soundcore bluetooth speaker but I saw the XB33 on sale decided that if I loved both sets of my XM4s, I would probably love the XB33 and I did. This thing sounds amazing for its size. The colors just adds fun to it. You can download the app and change how lights from various options but all sync to the music which is nice.I loved my little Anker one because it sounded really good for how cheap it was and that it was waterproof with an IP7 rating. The XB33 is IP67 rated which is definitely nice. So I don't have to worry about it ... MoreA year or two I finally broke down and bought the Sony XM4 over the ear headphones and was blown away by the sound quality and especially the noise cancelling. You can be playing music within seconds.

I had really good non brand Bluetooth speaker for a couple of years and it stopped charging. Started panicking because I was hosting Christmas in less than a week and had nothing to play music. I needed to find something quick and inexpensive. Did some research, but nothing was jumping at me. This popped up a couple of times, but it kept giving me beach vibes (what beach would I be going to in the winter lol), it was small and I felt that it would not give enough bass so I can feel the music. I was really stressing out at this point and reading the reviews from people who were giving their expertise advise and comparisons had me all over the place in a good way. I told myself to just go into a store and feel it out. Sold!!!!!!This Bluetooth speaker really gave the bang for my bucks. From the compact style, color, the bass, sound and gotta give it up for the lights. I got a lot compliments.
The Sony SRS-XB33 is an absolute gem when it comes to portable speakers. Its sound quality is nothing short of impressive. The deep bass and clear mids and highs provide a well-rounded audio experience that can fill a room with music. The speaker's built-in lights add a fun and dynamic element to any gathering. Its rugged design and water-resistant features make it ideal for outdoor adventures. The long battery life ensures the music keeps playing, and the extra features like speakerphone functionality are a great bonus. Sony has truly delivered a top-notch portable speaker with the SRS-XB33!"
I bought this to use as an 'extra' portable sound system when I am away from my Hi-Fi.i found it very easy to charge and connect to a mobile. It has a really nice sound with three basic settings: Extra Bass, live and normal. For some reason the 'normal' setting is called 'Stamina' ?There is also a control app you can have on your phone which gives you complete sound control via a virtual graphic equalizer. I didn't find it necessary to use this, but it is a nice extra. The unit is totally waterproof (you can float it in the bath) and it also does an optional light show which is quite entertaining. The included instructions are rubbish, but there is a very clear manual and user guide on line, and a good demo on You tube.If you buy two units you can even pair ... MoreI bought this to use as an 'extra' portable sound system when I am away from my Hi-Fi.i found it very easy to charge and connect to a mobile. It has a really nice sound with three basic settings: Extra Bass, live and normal. No feedback on product yet as I did not get a chance to use it. I bought it in Best Buy today (Markham) and came to my car excited. I noticed the box had some yellow stains, but I thought it's just outside, so I opened the box and found a long woman hair inside box. The plastic didn't seem professionally wrapped and I Immediately noticed oily fingerprints on both side passive speakers. It seemed like a used returned item and someone used it while eating oily food.I am surprised Best Buy is selling such item without checking. I went in to exchange but it was the last unit in store. They said they will ship new one to my address. Let's see how other one will be. If I have to return another one again, I might go with JBL Charge 5. I am a Sony Product fan, but this is the first time that I purchase a Sony Bluetooth Speaker. I bought it as it was reduced from retail price by half so I couldn't refuse plus with the wonderful 30-Day Return Policy from MicroCenter, if I didn't like it, then I could return it. I love this Speaker, the sound quality is really great, and the ability to raise the Treble is awesome as most speakers usually sound muffled and you don't always have an EQ to adjust. The speaker noticed that it needed a firmware update and I applied it. I like that you can enable the battery reporting when you turn on the speaker so that you know how much power you have. I like the weight of the speaker, nice and hefty, it is not a walking-around unit. I wasn't in the market for another Bluetooth Speaker but at this discounted price and the wonderful sounds and the App that I can use to control it is just a home run for me. The lights are pretty cool if you like that option, but I turned it off as I want to preserve battery life and so far the battery has really lasted much more then I expected given the nice bass that is offers, I picked the Live Music option instead of the Extra Bass. Very happy, hope this helps, those that are looking.WBNY
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bluetooth speaker is measures 10" x 4" x 4" and weighs about 1 Kg - so not too bulky but the secret is it is so simple to set up and use!Out of the box, I had this speaker connected to my Iphone 6s and my Sony Walkman NW-A40 Series mp3 player in seconds.Turning the unit on (it came out of the box with 50% charge) I was immediately able to see the device "SRS-XB33", connect my phone to it without issue and stream music from the internet and my online streaming library easily. The quality of the sound was amazingly good for such a small unit, and pressing the LIVE button on the top panel enhanced the spread and depth of sound.Connecting my Walkman was even easier - I enabled NFC (near field connection) on ... More[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bluetooth speaker is measures 10" x 4" x 4" and weighs about 1 Kg - so not too bulky but the secret is it is so simple to set up and use!Out of the box, I had this speaker connected to my Iphone 6s and my Sony Walkman NW-A40 Series mp3 player in seconds.Turning the unit on (it came out of the box with 50% charge) I was immediately able to see the device "SRS-XB33", connect my phone to it without issue and stream music from the internet and my online streaming library easily. The quality of the sound was amazingly good for such a small unit, and pressing the LIVE button on the top panel enhanced the spread and depth of sound.Connecting my Walkman was even easier - I enabled NFC (near field connection) on the device and then held it over the "N" symbol on the top panel - the unit informed me verbally that Bluetooth connection had been made! As simple as that!In addition, the unit remembers/finds your devices on startup. I switch the unit on and if my phone has Bluetooth active, it connects immediately, and "tells" me that connection is made. It also appears to maintain connection to more than one device at a time - so I was able to have phone and Walkman connected, play a track on Walkman and then select and start a track on my phone - the new selection was actively transmitted to the speaker unit and the first device put into pause/stop mode - pressing play on that device switched so that track was then heard over the speaker - not sure if this is an intended feature but would be useful in a party situation?Talking of which pressing the battery button on the rear panel and holding it for at least 3 seconds switches on the light mode of the speaker, resulting in a "disco type" light display on the speaker which appears to be influenced by rhythm and bass sound - not something I'd use a lot but nice for "the youngsters" in a party situation. The rear panel has a USB C socket which the supplied lead connects to with the other end in a PC USB socket you are able to charge the unit - one downside is that it doesn't appear to be a quick charge - it took around 3 hours to get the charge on my unit to 100%. There is also a normal USB socket which can be used if a phone or Walkman runs out of "juice" - using the supplied charge leads will take an emergency charge from the speaker unit to get you out of a tight spot? The speaker also has the ability to let you answer a phone call and be used as a speaker phone over Bluetooth, again a feature that would be possibly rarely used but useful it it happens.Other interesting features include the ability to connect a number of units over Bluetooth so you could put a speaker in different rooms at home?Another button allows two of the speakers to be linked as a stereo pair useful if you and a friend meet up for a listening session? All in all, I found this speaker easy to use with my devices, with good features and excellent sound quality. Yes there are cheaper speakers on the market, but my experience of alternative speakers are that they are fiddly to set up and sound quality is often limited - which cannot be said for this SONY device.I'd certainly recommend it to someone looking for a bluetooth speaker
Overview:I purchased this speaker to take in a camel-back while I snowboard, it gave me the extra sound I needed while shredding down the slopes and it’s bass is clear when the “live” or “extended battery” are disabled, when active they both reduce quality to conserve battery. I also used this speaker to play Christmas music for the residents of the assisted living I work at. They thoroughly enjoyed the music more than if it had come out of the tv and I couldn’t have been happier to see them sing along!I was between this speaker and the JBL charge and this has been a worth while purchase, I may still get this charge and use this as a house speaker for the reason of the battery- see below.Pros:Really clear sound, bass is strong (can be felt if volume at max and ... MoreOverview:I purchased this speaker to take in a camel-back while I snowboard, it gave me the extra sound I needed while shredding down the slopes and it’s bass is clear when the “live” or “extended battery” are disabled, when active they both reduce quality to conserve battery. Lights are cool but very unnecessary as you can’t personalize it much and it just drains the battery more. With the app you can get it so it does blink or flash to the beat but RGB lights inside of the speakers instead of white would be a huge improvement if possible.
