This headphone is one of the best one I have ever used! The sound quality definitely does feel premium, and that the crisp of the treble is evident. Indeed the bass is phenomenal for the pricing. Some of the music that I have been listening to for a long time sounds superb with the bass and sub bass the headphone delivers! The fact that Sony allows the customer to utilize their companion app for an equalizer setting and a Virtual Phone Technology setting, is outstanding! If one is not pleased with enough bass, then one can simply try using bass boost mode with the help of the equalizer. If the bass is still not enough, then one should use the custom option for maximum bass boost. This headphone is certainly designed who crave for bass bass bass!

Worth the purchase. I got these for myself for Christmas last year and I don’t regret spending $250 on them. Oh yes, they are expensive for headphones. They have great sound quality, comfortable on ears, and the adjustable head strap fits almost any head size. They have a mic built into them which is pretty decent. Noise cancelling and ambient noises features. You do all this through the Sony apps you have to download on phone. You can pair them to device without apps but you cannot set the equalizer how you want or adjust any settings without apps. You can also plug them up via wired cords that come with, if you choose, but they are Bluetooth wireless headphones. The battery life is standard, maybe 4 hours, I’ve never had mine drop below 20%.

But at least JBL headphones connect, disconnect, and reconnect flawlessly with my TV.

Good for music but not for call or meeting
13 October 2022

For this price range multi functionality is a must. The product collects the ambient sounds for the meeting and the calls to be heard by others. Sometimes One cannot be heard by the caller even despite of connecting again and again. Lamest thing is the facility of two connected devices. What use is that if at one time only one can be used? I tried to take a call and listren to the audio from a series I was watching on my laptop. It didnt work. Thirdly, the features... they are super lousy. I tried decreasing or increasing the vollume. It doesnt work at all... i cannot believe a company like sony made something like this....

Major flaws
19 October 2021

There are a few major flaws with these headphones that are really disappointing for the price point. I wish I had tried them out in person before buying. The touch controls are too easy to trigger accidentally. They fire almost every time I adjust the headphones on my head, or take them on or off, which is maddening. I wish I could disable them, but that seems to be impossible. The lack of physical volume buttons is disappointing, given the overly-sensitive touch controls. The built-in play/pause control is buggy and causes weird audio or video artifacts on some streaming services. For example, hitting "play" on the headphones puts Netflix into a weird state where the video plays but Netflix still thinks it's paused and keeps showing the pause overlay.Switching ... MoreThere are a few major flaws with these headphones that are really disappointing for the price point. But the issues are annoying enough that I don't enjoy using them. I would return them if I could, but I unfortunately missed the return window. If you're considering buying these headphones, I highly recommend going to a store and trying them out in person first. Make sure you test out the touch controls to see whether they work for you. Pay attention to whether the touch controls activate when taking the headphones on and off.

My everything headphones.
11 November 2022

So I scooped these up about 2ish yrs ago primarily for going on long walks and trips. These are so awesome they have become my everything headphones, by this i mean I use it when I want to do some late night gaming as it pairs well with my X900e. If my wife is sowing and I want to read and isolate myself I'll slip these on just to utilize the Noise Cancelling. Or if I want to watch a movie I'll pair this with my TV again and watch the movie as with the extra bass it's almost like the cinema is right there on your head LOL. I picked these up on sale through Amazon and did lots of research before I bought these and these have got to be the best bang for your buck.Be aware that these headphones are very punchy on the bass, though this does not muddy The sound ... MoreSo I scooped these up about 2ish yrs ago primarily for going on long walks and trips. Don't listen to all those other reviews that complain about how much bass this has, it's literally in the name! XB(extra Bass) The only complaints I agree with is that Sony has to come up with a better way of naming their products wh-xb900n LOL.

Solid choice
19 September 2023

The Sony wh-xb900n headphones are a bass lovers dream. They pack a punch with deep, resonating low-end frequencies that elevate my music experience. The Noise cancellation feature is fantastic, blocking out distractions on my daily commute. Battery life is impressive, usually lasting through long flights. While they are comfortable, and adorable, Occasionally, the touch controls can be a bit finicky. Overall, these headphones deliver on their promises of great bass and noise cancellation, making them a solid choice for music lovers like me.

Sony support is the worst
25 March 2023

These headphones sounded great for a year and 3 months. At that point the right speaker stopped working. I called Sonys authorized repair company, United Radio. They said these are not repairable as Sony does not provide parts. I called every local repairer and none would fix them. Sony denied all requests for help and basically acknowledged this is a disposable $250 headphone. Buyer beware. Would have given 0 stars if possible and done with Sony. Here is a follow up. Sony offered a small discount to buy the replacement model. I could actually get it for the same price they offered on sale. Product is still disposable. Still a completely unsatisfactory resolution despite the fact they acknowledge the product never was repairable. This fact should have been noted ... MoreThese headphones sounded great for a year and 3 months. At that point the right speaker stopped working. Super comfy, great audio response and battery life
18 January 2022

Been using for a few weeks now, very happy so far.Love the way the audio can be fine tuned via the app (bass, treble etc) first time I’ve had to take a photo of my ear to tailor the sound from headphones! Bass response is excellent and can be adjusted to your own needs.Comfort is good, lots of padding on the headband. The touch features are both excellent however sometimes I’ve skipped/paused by accident when adjusting the headphones on my head. The noise cancellation options are good, perhaps doesn’t cancel as much as I was expecting but still do a great job. I love the one handed touch feature that enables all ambient sound to be heard (whilst lowering the music volume) great for when someone speaks to you and saves you taking the headphones off.Battery life ... MoreBeen using for a few weeks now, very happy so far.Love the way the audio can be fine tuned via the app (bass, treble etc) first time I’ve had to take a photo of my ear to tailor the sound from headphones! Wonderful for work and music
16 January 2023

Excellent headphones. Almost 3 years later, and it's still going strong. I use these daily, multiple times a day for probably 5-8 hours a day and they have been amazing. No issues at all! The battery lasts for about 1 day to 2 days, but that's also because I really crank up the volume and I use it all day. I generally charge it once every 2 days depending on the usage, but I have no complaints about that. It also successfully blocks out about 90% of noise. I can get through meetings with no issues. The only issue I have is, if you're going to talk on the phone with these, it sometimes sounds like your voice is muffled to the other person, so I avoid using these for calls. Otherwise, fantastic headphones
