Sony has announced the first vlog camera in the Alpha series with interchangeable lenses, the new ZV-E10. Designed from the ground up for vlogging and vloggers, the new camera combines Sony's advanced imaging technology with expanded usability and a customized feature set optimized for video creators. At its core, the ZV-E10 features a 24.2-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS 24.2-megapixel sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine to produce high-quality images with high sensitivity, detailed texture imaging and beautiful natural bokeh effects. In addition, the ZV-E10 includes the popular vlogging-specific functions like the popular ZV-1 digital camera, including the "Background Defocus" mode that can smoothly switch between blur (bokeh) and sharp background, and the "Product Showcase Setting" mode that allows the camera to automatically change focus from the subject's face to a highlighted object. The ZV-E10 is designed with video shooting in mind, with a lightweight body (approximately 343g) and includes the popular Vari-angle LCD screen that opens to the side and allows filmmakers to attach external microphones above the camera. This, simplifies setup, while allowing users to view the screen in selfie mode and from high and low angles. In addition to the screen, the ZV-E10 includes several other handy features designed specifically for vlogging, including a new Still/Movie/Slow and Quick motion button located on the top of the camera, allowing creators to easily switch between desired shooting modes with a single touch. The new camera also includes advanced video modes, including 4K and Slow Motion video capture with high image quality (FHD 120p). Electronic Image Stabilization with Active Mode is also available, providing stable video recording even when walking and shooting manually. In addition, the ZV-E10's advanced autofocus technology provides fast, accurate AF with excellent tracking performance, as well as high-quality audio for clear audio recording.
