Clarification: This product was sent to me in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The Anker Soundcore 3 was a surprisingly good Bluetooth speaker. For the price, I was a bit skeptical. However, after pairing with my device and using the Anker application I couldn't find a fault with the setup. It was seamless and quick. I have had the speaker for about a month now (mainly used at home) and have performed a few sound tests. I would say the maximum volume should suffice for a party or gathering, especially for the price of $50. I have had speakers in the past within this price range with perfornance not even close to matching the volume. Sound quality wise I would probably keep it on the default EQ settings. Overall, this is an excellent speaker for the price ... MoreClarification: This product was sent to me in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The Anker Soundcore 3 was a surprisingly good Bluetooth speaker. When this thing worked, it worked great. Then after a few months, it wouldn't pair up with any Bluetooth-enabled device I tried to use. They would see it was there, but no luck connecting to it. I finally shot it full of holes and tossed it into the garbage where it belongs. What a waste of money.

SUPER compact. Nice rubber sides makes it feel as though it might handle an accidental drop. Super simple design. Sound quality won't blow you away. Base is a little lacking and highs are just a little lacking but, you can't expect huge amounts of base from such tiny speakers but, for it size and it's price, it sounds really good. I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to find more sound performance for less money in such a small package. The overall sound volume easily fills the room and is plenty loud enough to enjoy outside while washing your car or cooking a steak on the grill. I like it enough to consider purchasing a second one for myself as I gave this first unit to my son and daughter in law as a Christmas gift that would be a easily transportable to the beach ... MoreSUPER compact. I love this speaker - the audio quality, battery life, and build quality are all outstanding. I haven't had any issues with connectivity - I had it connected to my phone in less than a minute after opening the box an no issues since. The sound is fantastic for the size, especially the bass, I didn't expect it to be so strong. I also love that it comes with a lace to attach to something - I plan on brining it hiking next weekend and will probably bring it cycling too. I will clip it to my backpack with a carabiner. I haven't tried submerging in water but it claims to be IPX7, I don't doubt it. I also haven't tried throwing it at a wall or dropping it but honestly, with the build quality, I expect it would be fine. I've had headphones and speakers in the past where you could not do this and it was miserable. It charges with USB C so you can even charge with a battery backup. I don't expect I'll need that given it has 24 hours battery life but certainly good to know :) Highly recommend getting the SoundCore app and connect up - I was playing around with some of the settings there and got a firmware update (installed very quickly 2-4 minutes). The sound customization features are especially excellent. You can also disable/enable the startup/connect/disconnect/power-off feedback the speaker gives. I like these in some environments and not in others. I love being able to choose. I haven't tried the party cast feature yet but from what I saw from other reviews, I expect it will be awesome when I get a second one of these. If you want extra boom, you could consider the the bigger models like the Motion but I think this one is the perfect mix of portability without compromise quality. Hope you enjoy as much as I do :)
Great sound and great battery life. This device is very similar in size and quality to my Bose Soundlink Mini except way less expensive. The greater advantage of this device is that it can be paired with other Soundcore 3’s for stereo sound and more. I could buy 3 more of these for the price of the Bose and truly have a party with it. Currently we are using it on our back porch and with its water resistance we can leave it out there! This speaker also has an app that can you can change all sorts of settings and make it sound way better. Really enjoying this speaker!
I am a janitor and with all of the different movements I have to do my ear buds kept coming out. I decided to look for a cheap speaker for my music and podcasts. All of the ones I found for under $30 had below average reviews. I saw the ratings for the Soundcore 2 and decided to give it a try. This speaker packs a serious punch for the price. I listen to most types of music and when it comes to edm, hiphop and rap the bass sounds fantastic. Its also very clear so when I listen to podcasts or sporting events it comes out very clear. The volume is impressive, on 70% I can hear it nearly everywhere in my buildings very clearly. Its a great size speaker as well. The battery life is great, it lasts me 2-3 days with moderate to heavy use. It says 60ft but it has to be 60ft in an open room. Just going 20-30 feet from my living room to bedroom it will cut out, I have to leave my phone in the same room as the speaker. Not a deal breaker for me though. I love this speaker and would recommend to anyone.
I chose the Soundcore 3 because it has a bigger battery than the Soundcore and the Soundcore 2. Do your home work. It took some doing to find this information. Also, this is very well built. Uses the USB C for charging. No sweat, it comes with a USB A to USB C for charging. Buttons on top work very well. Downside, is they are all black and hard to see. I have had to learn to do everything by feel. This speaker replaces my Teetox speaker, which I loved. I only paid $25.00 for that, but they don't make the Teetox speaker anymore. Another thing about the Teetox is it used USB Micro for its charging port and this Micro Port became worn and wouldn't hold the charging cord anymore. I have another electronic item with the exact same problem. The USB C appears to be better ... MoreI chose the Soundcore 3 because it has a bigger battery than the Soundcore and the Soundcore 2. I think the price is a bit steep, but this is a well built unit. Having said that, I have seen other of similar sized/quality are for nearly $100.00 Soundcore 3 is by Anker.
The speaker seems to be a very nice, and a well made speaker. The size is approximately 6 inch long, 2 inches high and 3 inches wide. With this size it small enough to be mobile and taken it with you wherever you may go. It also has that protective covering to help make it waterproof and offer extra protection from wear and tear.I could see this being a great speaker with many uses. I see this speaker can be used by the young and old. For young people, it is small enough to be mobile while they are at college where there is a lack of room. I know it would be good for older folks as a first speaker. I also can see this as an option for any laptop needs.Design and soundThe speaker is the Tardis of small speakers. I know it would be good for older folks as a first speaker. I also can see this as an option for any laptop needs.Design and soundThe speaker is the Tardis of small speakers. It may be small but the sound is bigger on the inside. The speaker is full of bass with or without the bass up. If you need less base you can you can always turn off the Bass up that seems to be active when you first access the speaker. Either way the sound is full and vibrant. The speaker is part of the Soundcore Partycast speakers and is probably one of the funnest software in the speaker. If you buy it, I would buy it for this specific function.Partycast allows a user the ability to "pair 100 speakers together if you want too. This brings your speaker from a speaker to a party speaker. It allow you to design how you want to use the partycast speakers. With that said, the partycast is not restricted to only the soundcore 3. With the partycast it allows you to sync and a Rave to a Flare 2 to a soundcore 3. It is only restrictive to your imagination. I will say that I have synced my Flare 2 and two soundcore 3 together and it was a great experience. I will say if you do it that you may want to try to set up the speakers in a way to get the most out of the sound reverberation.I do not have any negative to state about the speaker other than I think it has the bass up already on when you start it up but that can be easily turned off in the app. The app is a well functioning app that will you update the firmware as well as joining the awesome music from LUM that is included in the app itself.
Bought this speaker after comparing many on the internet. For us, this ticked all the boxes on our list...portable, long battery life, claims of decent bass, and an equalizer. (for the EQ, you have to download the app to your phone) We were hoping the sound wasn't too tinny, and that it was louder than the phone. We were blown away. The sound quality is excellent, loud enough to fill a room without being at full volume and the bass is there. An added feature according to the manual is that you can gang up to 100 of them in "party mode". It's not as loud as my 901s, but considering the size and price, Anker did a damn fine job with this product. We will be ordering another for my husband, so we can each have one and not fight over this one. Great product, great price!
I do like the sound. It's pretty loud. I listen to it in my forklift at work. So I need a loud speaker. However. I do not get 24 hours out of it. I'm lucky if I get 8 hours out of it. Now maybe if I had the speaker at medium level it would last longer. Instead of it being cranked up. I also don't like that the device pauses out for a second when I putting it on max. It only does it when going to max volume. It's like the device is going into a mode or something.
