Spanx Women's Oncore High-Waisted Mid-Thigh Shorts in Cafe AU Lait

Spanx is a well known brand, and product seems to be well liked. Let's start with the pluses. 1. The material is so soft and smooth. 2. It has a slit in the pelvic area so that you can use the bathroom. Here are the cons 1. The slit to pee from is weird. You would have to pull it apart, so you don't pee on the shorts. 2. It was horrible to put on. I know if I had fake nails, I would have never been able to get it on. 3. It's way too long. I have a long torso and short legs. Realistically the shirts were so I long, I could have just worn it as a body suit. When I sat down, that extra fabric just dug into my waist and ribs. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this product. If it was a lot cheaper, then maybe, but for the price and cons, it's not worth it, in my opinion.

Breathable Shapewear

I actually like these a lot! I have issues with shapewear rolling down because your girl has a bit more to love in the back. But this holds up surprisingly well! I would say the firmness of the compression is enough to keep you feeling put together but the fit and material allow for breathability. So this isn’t quite as firm as some other shapewear I own. But that allows it to be a more comfortable hug to the body rather than a super, uncomfortably tight garment. I was looking for a high waisted anti-thigh chafing pair of shorts and decided to give this a go. I’m happy that I did.

Dissapointing

Oh boy. I've been excited to start buying Spanx items this year. I was excited to see how smooth I looked in clothes.Too bad I never made it in anything else after trying and failing to put these shorts on. The material looked like stocking out of the pack. But trying to get it on was like trying to put on too small compression socks.I pulled them up my calves only for my knees to knock together. I struggled for at least 5 minutes to get them around my thighs and up my stomach. Only for them to immediately roll down. No matter how many times I adjusted and pulled the top up higher, it rolled back down.In disappointment, I spent at least 2 minutes getting them off. Nice

For reference I’m 5’10 and around 245 lbs and I went with the size 1x which is what my weight category fell in. The top has a sticky strip which did roll- the roll wasn’t bad, BUT for the price, imo, it shouldn’t move when you got your correct size according to the chart. I do realize every body is different and that’s why I gave 4 stars but other than that it does what I wanted it to do which is smooth me out. Extremely stretchy, and the legs didn’t cut into mine. Pretty good suck-in power and eliminated the jiggle. Overall it’s nice.. overpriced.. but nice.

Really impressed with the compression

I like how these fit. I have bought Spanx before and felt underwhelmed by the results, but I was pleasantly surprised with this pair. I think they pull me in at all the right places. There is good lift in the bum area, and they smooth out hips and tums. One thing I will note is that the legs (although made from thin material so not bulky under clothes) are a little on the longer side, so these wouldn't work with shorter dresses. They do work well under a jumpsuit or midi though and that's what I needed them for, so I'm very happy. I haven't worn them for a long period yet, but I have noticed that the top waistband rolls a little. I have always had some kind of rolling, so I didn't expect a miracle this time. I am happy with the smoothing/slimming effect though. It's made quite an unflattering dress look nice on my body shape, and before purchasing these, I wouldn't have worn the dress, as it was quite unforgiving, but these do the trick in my opinion. Size wise - size up. I'm a 14 and got an XL and it fits nicely. They are tight-fitting, but shouldn't be painful or uncomfortable these feel just right to me and I can see myself wearing them for 6-8 hours with no problem.

Super comfortable and does the trick

Was shopping around for shaper shorts that would tighten things up but not require a full and entangled dance to remove them, especially for nipping to the loo. These are very comfortable. They don't roll down. They're very breathable and I love the added cotton gusset. Totally recommend for anyone wanting full coverage from under the bus to their upper thighs without pinching or that horrible sweaty feeling some other products can leave you with. Reasonably priced good colour range. Thumbs up.

These are not what it

I'm giving three a 3 stars for fabric breathabilityBut these are definitely not worth the hype.I would much rather use the shape where Torrid provides then to buy these Spanx ever again!It was kind of concerned when I opened the package and held them up and looked at them I thought I'd never get them on, but I did and it wasn't difficult they fit over my curves beautifully the thigh area was nice and secure and I wore them under a summer dress I got from Torrid, I was comfortable all day long. I turned around and looked in the mirror and there it was a HUGE run from the bottom of my butt all the way up to the middle of my back near the band of the shapewear, you know like a run in your stockings, except it's an inch wide I couldn't believe that this happened because I bought these larger than my normal size, it was extremely laughable and I won't be able to get another wear out of these because if I do they're going to split down the back LOL they're definitely not worth the money and I'm trying to think to myself are these a defective pair???should I give it another shot but the answer is no I'm not going to give it another shot I'll just stick to buying the torrid shapewear because this has never happened with them and they work just as well underneath my summer dresses they're just not as breathable and that's only because the waistband where the lace is is extremely thick maybe Torrid could come out with their own line of shape where similar to Spanx. Also another downside of these things is that little gusset in the middle of the crotch area does not stay closed I mean if you want air conditioning all day it's great but it's also a little uncomfortable lol I am 6'1 300lb and shaped like a palm bottle lol I have literally from Target that performs better than these babies lol but it made a good laugh for me and my sister.

Unimpressed

I lost over 40 in 3 months, going from sizes 18-20 to 10. (My secret: Cut out sugar, eat proteins and veggies at a caloric deficit, and walk 10K daily.) Anyway, I purchased the Spanx for a smooth silhouette when I am wearing a fitted skirt or dress. I liked the high-waisted design to avoid a muffin top, but I hated the useless stick strip at the waistband because the waistband rolled down and never stayed in place with the strip. For that reason, I'd never repurchase/recommend it. If you do buy it, use your rewards because Spanx is excluded from sales.

I’m new to shape wear, but because I bloat with almost anything I eat, and have a new body con to wear, I thought I’d look into these options.I normally wear a size 0; I believe the recommended size I should get was the XXS or XS. But, after reading the reviews, I ordered a S. For context, I’m 5’4”, 105 lbs. My hips are a tad disproportionate -larger- to my shoulders and chest. Meaning, I’m a 0 up top and occasionally need a 2 bottom. It really depends on the label.I tried these on after eating a big pasta dish - full bloat mode. A 2 should fit my tummy post-pasta. It’s the perfect condition to put these babies to the test.Even with the S, I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head!! Holy moly.
