Excellent, simply excellent walnut oil. Some are roasted walnut oils but this is pure walnut oil and makes the best salad dressing. I am very happy with this product and have already ordered two more bottles. Best for salads and breads.

ine product. This review is only for the shipper DHL. I see no way to post a complaint against DHL so until I find a way to do so I will post here and on other products such as this. DHL is a third world pathetic pseudo-business which takes pride in harassing it's customers who are not Mexican. One month to ship! And they respond a week after I complain, in broken English, telling me to contact my shipper.....they, of course, are the shipper!!!!
Walnut oil has a nice mild flavor, and perfect Omega3/Omega6 ratio of 4.2 I drizzle it on dry bread or crackers - which tastes good and helps make salt stick. Can use for salad dressing depending on your personal tastes. I mix up peanut powder and/or wheat flour and/or flax seed meal and/or sunflower butter and/or lecithin and/or many things and just eat it cold. You can always get a good Omega3/Omega6 ratio by using flax oil and/or canola oil and/or walnut oil and/or almond oil depending on what you mix up. Add any sweetener and you have raw cookie dough to eat with very little saturated fat. -Marc
I'd been using La Tourangelle Roasted Walnut Oil for several years, really liked the particular flavor imparted by their roasting the nuts. However, the last three containers were really strong, and the flavor was a bit off-putting. I used it to impart not only the omegas but also the roasted flavor, but just could not deal with the intensity any longer. I ordered the Spectrum Walnut Oil and I love it. Don't miss the "roasted" version at all. Love that I am imparting the benefits of the rich omegas found in walnuts without affecting the flavor of my baked goods. Don't know what happened to the oil that I used before, but I have found a new favorite and will continue to incorporate it in our healthy diet.
thought there'd be a strong roasted walnut flavor but this is totally opposite, this walnut oil has zero to no scent at all. It's not something I'm looking for, plus the shelf life it's rather short- it's started getting spoiled within 12 months (after opening) Maybe should have stored it in the fridge
The negative reviews here I've read complain that this doesn't taste like Walnut/Walnut Oil. This is REFINED WALNUT OIL, and it tastes like it. It is great for sautéing where you might use butter or Ghee but don't want the heavy butter/Ghee effect or say an olive oil effect. I much prefer it to avocado or canola.I mostly use it for sautéing and to add to water when making long grain rice. When I want a Walnut dressing oil for salad or steamed veggies I reach for the Roasted Walnut Oil. VitaCost carries the only brand of Roasted Walnut Oil I've seen in grocery stores, the one by Tourangelle
I use this walnut oil a lot. I use it on salads, mixed with a little olive or toasted walnut oil, dessert baking, furniture polish! I gently heat oil and beat beeswax in to make a finish to restore weathered wood. Slather on and leave in a warm place; wipe off and polish next day. Beautiful and non-toxic!I appreciate being able to peel the label off the very nice bottles to recycle them. The bottles are pretty enough to use as a bud vase.I highly recommend this product. I do wish there was an organic option.
