Again like others, I measured my daughter and choose what should have been the correct size based on the size guide but it was way too small! When it came it actually had a age size on it which would have been very helpful if this was on the website too. Please JL use the age sizes!

Next size up (working this out from reviews!) is 26 inch which equates to age 8 which I am fearful will be far too big and long. My daughter normally would need age 6-7 clothes for top half as main length is in her body. If you have a very skinny 5/6 yr old I think 24 inch should be big enough. Ive had to return swimsuit and buy another with clearer sizing.

I found this product very good quality. The colour isn't fading after 30+ swims. Overall a good swimsuit that does what it says on the tin. However I suggest to go a size up , although after 10+ swims it does loosen up.
Having purchased this costume for my daughter for the last two years, I was aware that the sizing is completely wrong, and had to order age 14 for my slender but tall 10 year old. Good school costume, just a shame that the sizing issues still are not fixed by Speedo.

My daughter is 137cm tall so quite small for a 10.5 yr old. She is slim no hips etc. Her measurements are 25cm chest, 22.5 cm waist and 25cm hips. I bought 30cm costume thinking this might do based on other reviews for children about the same age. We will keep the costume as my daughter loves it - fantastic suit in the bright blue and lovely shape. But it is a little big. Mostly a bit baggy around lower front and slightly all over. But not much. The next size down would have been ideal but this one is wearable and should last for a while. Bought this for my 8 year old daughter. I had to buy age 9 - 10 because she is very tall. It looks great on her and most importantly she is very comfortable in it and it fits well.
I've ordered the wrong size using the John Lewis size chart. Rather than have them sized by age they are sized by chest in inches and the John Lewis chart shows chest in centimetres. I have ordered the 26" which equates to 10 year old girl on your chart but now it has arrived I see that this is for an 8 year old. Very annoying and a waste of everyone's time.
Fantastic swimsuit, washes well and stands up to repeated chlorine and use. The sizing is the only issue but then children really do come in all shapes and sizes. The sizing on the tag is slightly better as it lists the height measurement as well. Size 30 equates to 140 cm. So chest measurement doesn't necessarily work. My daughter is a tall 9.5 year old (141cm) with a 25 cm chest and I now need to order her the 32 as it is a tiny bit short so rubs in long swim sessions.
