Though the bodice of the swimsuit is designed to be snug, the leg elastic is far too tight once washed and dried (followed label instructions) even on the skinniest of girls. So much so, that it leaves marks on the leg and groin area and becomes painful for the child. My daughter is 8 years old, crazy thin, wearing a size 10 and has had to take them off after an hour because they begin to hurt. All other features are great which makes this even more disappointing.

I am always seeking swimwear that endures the extensive wear kids give their swimwear over summer and swim training. I am seriously impressed with the quality of this costume as the elastic and lycra and holding up as if the item is still new. Also the fit is great. They are true to size and are not skimpy in the behind or across the chest. I'm sticking with Speedo.
