The fabric is super comfortable, the styling is awesome, the color is beautiful. These are just a few reasons why the Speedo Men's Solar 1" Brief is such a great swimsuit. I would have rated it 5-star except for the vertical center seam. I bought three pairs and will certainly be buying more!

I'm 6'2"; 175 lbs., waist 31-32" (depending). I purchased a size 36, which fits great. Anything below would have been too tight. The high-cut leg is flattering, and you'll need more room in the front in any event. I don't recommend buying your normal size. Be sure to size up at least one size, or even 2 sizes if you have a more developed posterior. Otherwise, the swim brief will not fit. The front is lined, but your equipment will be outlined nevertheless, especially if you're packing more in the front. Very good for swimming. The fabric does stretch when wet. Confidence booster.

The only complaint I have on these is due to the sizing, for me. Depending on brands of jeans/shorts I wear anywhere between a 28 and 32. I ordered a 32 in these as I read they can run on the smaller side. Again, for me, they ran VERY small. I am in process of returning the 32's and ordering the 34's. Just so I'm clear, I have never worn a 34 in anything. Other than them being way too tight/small they are a very good product. Looking forward to getting the right size in these.

I have been swimming in Speedos my whole life, over 55 years. There are competitive brands but none come close. I have found the 1" Speedos perfect for my lap swimming. Great fit, durability, I cannot say enough good things about the Speedo brand. For the serious swimmer, accept nothing less.
What's not to like? I hadn't worn Speedos since high school, but that didn't stop me from picking up a couple of pairs from Macy's last summer. They have been fantastic for doing laps at the pool and truly feel like a second skin. Utterly no drag in the water, and very durable. I liked them so much that I just picked up a few more in different colors this year. If you're not afraid to show a little skin at the pool (or beach), give these a try!
It's tight and form-fitting, just as a speedo brief should be, to minimize drag while swimming at the gym. I got a dark blue one, and a white one. The white one is actually thicker and more durable than the dark blue one and as such is just as opaque as the dark blue one. With the blue one, all that's covering your bum is a single, gauzy layer, while the white one feels less risque as it has two additional layers covering your bum.Despite the name, the side panels of these suits are more like 2'', not 1''. Still, looks much better than the typical 3'' briefs. You just have to have nice legs and butt to show off, because this suit exposes your bare thighs and part of your bum. I'm someone who loves to swim for exercise and leisure, and swim briefs are the best for it! Jammers and board shorts hold no interest for me, no thanks! From my early teen years onwards, I've been so fascinated by swim briefs, with the freedom and comfort they offer. I'm still wearing them over fifteen years later (still size 30 waist!) and Speedo is still the best company for getting the job done. What I love most about the Solar is that it's a smaller cut than the standard core brief that made Speedo famous, which makes the Solar better! Almost like European swim briefs! In keeping with this, the leg cut is higher and makes for slipping them on and off so easy, but thankfully it doesn't compromise its adherence to your hips when gliding through the water. ... MoreI'm someone who loves to swim for exercise and leisure, and swim briefs are the best for it! Seriously, the normal speedo does well, but it's like putting on a scuba suit. Another improvement that the Solar has is the pouch which will give you 100% support! I have a large collection of swim briefs, but Solar is my go to!
Wish this swimsuit construction was more consistent. I ordered several weeks ago in the heather grey and it was absolelty perfect. Liked it so much I ordered another in Red. The red one came with a double fabric layer rear. The red is not see through so don't know why that would need double fabric. Takes much longer to dry. My grey one was just single layer of fabric in the rear, and fits better and dries faster. Both sits were the speedo solar style and compared tags and they are the same. Years ago the sides were truly 1". They seem to have gotten wider even though they're still called the 1" solar.
I am a 45 year old male that is in overall decent shape but am carrying some extra weight . 6ft and 215 pounds so I am battling the belly fat. This suit actually makes my mid section look more flat and helps me feel more confident and attractive. My wife was a little surprised that I wore them the first time but is now supportive and say I look good. I’ve bought many colors for the pool and beach.
I have size 38 speedos from 3 years ago, never opened. The speedos i bought this year, same size. These new 38s are definitely smaller and are probably 34 or 36. When is speedo going to stop playing games with the sizes. You don't offer size 40 and that's what i would require,By the way, i am not a fat guy and am more than ok with the older briefs. Maybe they should try some on before they sell them! Am I stuck with these?
