I generally do 1 hour (or longer) swim workouts, and I got these when I realized that a smaller, closer eye-socket fit would leave less obvious "raccoon-eye" rings on my face. They are painful. I cannot wear these. I tried changing medium nosepiece that came with goggle to my preferred small nose piece. This made no difference to comfort. This goggle hurts both my nose & my eye sockets. Feels like there’s not enough cushion. I am experienced daily swimmer. Repositioning goggle over eyes & changing nose pieces made no difference. I just can’t wear this goggle. I’ve ordered & used speedo vanquisher women’s goggles for years. This google was cheaper version. In this instance cheaper version unfortunately sacrificed comfort…

I have used the Speedo Fast Skin Speed Socket for a total of 430 hours in the pool (since November 11th) and they are the best goggles I have ever owned. First off, they are extremely comfortable. The flexibility and design fit my head and eye sockets nicely. I have used Swedish, TYR, and Arena goggles, and none of them have come even close to the amount of suction and comfort that the speed sockets bring to the table. I even use the speed sockets over my Arena racing goggle which are 30 dollars more than the fast skins. Compared to other premium goggles, they are extremely affordable. Another key feature they have is their adjustability. At no point am I uncomfortable with these goggles. I am pleased with my purchase of them and will continue to buy these goggles for practices and meets.
Speedo Speed Sockets are the BEST for training and competition. Alternate nose pieces, fit and durability all good. Unfortunately they're getting harder to find. Something about them being M. Phelps favorites and being around so long, has Speedo limiting their production of the style. Great to find them here on Swimoutlet.com and mirrored is a bonus. Thanks.
These are my choice goggles for racing. I think they are comparable to (and maybe even better) than the Fastskin goggles. They are lighter and sit flatter than Fastskins and the price is unbeatable. Super sleek in the water, great for racing. Great seal for aggressive meet dives. I love how low-profile it is on face contours, it minimizes drag a lot. The straps lie flat and have a good grip on your cap which is great for drag too. Nose bridge piece is nice and low. Great peripheral vision. The lenses are mirrored but they aren''t tinted darker, which is awesome for visibility/appearance. They preform great for meets but I would not recommend them for practice. They’re sleek, comfortable, so easy to put on, and they look cool. What more can I say? These are my favorite goggles I’ve ever tried. There’s absolutely no fogging, so you can just plop them on and go. No suctioning or strap tightening needed! Just wish they had more color options, but beside that, they’re literally perfect.
Tried another brand/type for the first time in over 25 years. After two months I want back to my old standby, the Speed Socket. I relearned an old lesson; if it's not broken, don't fix it. These goggles have always performed for me in the open water and the pool. I really like the newer Vapor color for open water! It's not too dark for starting a swim in the dark, and it's still mirrored enough where I'm not blinded when the sun comes up.
Fantastic! I’ve worn them for years, and they are the best fit I’ve ever found for my narrow deep set eyes. For open water swimming the peripheral vision and clarity are great for spotting. The also fit my son and daughter well, who do not have deep set eyes.This is my 4th pair.
These goggles are probably my top pick of all time. They are amazing both for those morning practices and race day. I love the clip-on nose bridge, it's soo much more comfortable than the Vanquisher and easier to keep up with than the Hyper Elite. The silicone gasket is super comfortable, though it does take some breaking in. The straps are super comfortable, and in my time using them (about three or four years), I have yet to see one break. As an added bonus, the peripheral vision on these is incredible! I can see two or three lanes to either side with my head oriented straight. Last, but not least, these goggles never leak. Overall, amazing goggle, would recommend to anyone who swims competitively.
