SPIGEN Abyss Green Tough Armor Case - For Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Arrived in simple packaging. Fits well for my S23 Ultra. Feels a bit flimsy - the kickstand was a bit tight and seems a bit too thin and weak to support the big phone. It is same design I had for S10 and the stand broke after a year of minimal usage. The solid part of the case is enveloped by the rubber protection which felt good, with soft padding inside to absorb shock (see photos). The fit is very tight - if need to keep changing SIM card e g. when traveling, I have concern it will break the rubber eventually. So try not to have to change sin often (e.g. use esim). There is space around the lens to put lens protector separately.

I have been using Spigen Tough Armour cases for years now and have never sustained any damage to my phones whilst using them. The protection is amazing despite multiple hard drops over the years. The raised lips mean that my 4 year old S10+ has no screen scratches after all this time. When I placed the order for my S23 Ultra the Spigen Tough Armour was my go to case and I know it will give me top level protection, but also the off centre kickstand will give me two different viewing angles for enjoying content on my phone. If I'm cooking in the kitchen I prefer the phone laying down a bit more, when doing the washing up it's on the window and needs to be a little more upright. The case works perfectly with NFC payment and also with wireless charging. You really can't go wrong with this case.

A heavy phone deserves a tough case

Pro: Fit is great. Material used feels premium. Overall finishing is flawless. Con: Volume buttons are a bit difficult to press. Limited color choices. I'd like to see more color options. If Spigen can add some accent colors to the case, that'd be great too. The corners and volume buttons have groves, which allowed me to fill them in with some spray paint. Used some blue tape to mask the rest of the phone, spray painted the corners and buttons, removed the tape, and wiped the over spray around the grooves with isopropyl alcohol, leaving only paint in the groves. I did similar things to my last case, which the paint lasted the whole 4 years on my last phone.

I absolutely love this case! I've been using Spigen for 5 years

I've been using Spigen cases for over 5 years. I was very concerned with protecting the sharp corners on my new S23 Ultra. I tried a few of the less expensive cases and they were very thin and cheap. This Spigen case is every bit as good as the UAG cases. It provides excellent coverage for the sharp corners. It also has just enough space around the camera lenses to install the small protectors for those. Between this case, the camera lens protectors and a TPU screen protector, my phone seems bomb-proof. Also, you can attach a MagSafe adhesive ring to the back and it sticks well enough not to be peeled off by a strong magnetic charger. I love this case!

Phone cracked while in case

I've been getting this same case for 3 different phones now and have loved it. My most recent phone however (s23 ultra) cracked while in the case 2 months after getting it. The back glass shattered after a fall that normally shouldn't have caused any damage. The case being 2 months old is all beat up, there's even a chunk taken out of one of the corners. It seems that the build quality of these cases has gone down substantially. I remember dropping my previous phones and confidently picking them up, dusting them off and continueing on with my day. That is sadly not the case anymore. I reached out to customer service to see if there was any kind of warranty that could help me get my new phone fixed, but have yet to hear back. Please add strong Qi2 compatible magnets under the plastic cover and it would be perfect

Dear Spigen team, please consider adding MagSafe compatibility to all of your cases for S23 line, essentially making phone Qi2 charging compatible. Also please use real magnets to make connection stronger and not just metal plate. The one I got and really love is 2023 andobil Easyfly as it is slim and does not add too much thickness to the phone, magnets are so strong that is actually difficult to detach it even when you want (which is a good thing as I feel my phone is safe when I walk/run and have phone just on the finger). One area that definitely needs to be revisited are the volume buttons, I never able to click volume up from the first time as it is really hard to find that button. Those need to have different texture pattern, Spigen, or have better dividing grove. As it stands currently it requires a couple seconds to find the right area to click when the phone is in the pocket.

Quality

I like that it fits the phone perfectly, it looks and feels like a quality case, I have bought cases online in the past and when they arrive I feel disappointed in the quality, but not with this case. It is a slim fit and isn't too bulky yet it feels sturdy like it will protect my phone from a fall. I ordered this case online before the phone even came out, I did so because they did not have any cases in store surprisingly, many people pre-ordered the phone and it was in backorder. I put it on the phone and it fits all the dimensions, I can hear the audio clearly with the case, you can tell it was well designed.
