I'm not sure if there will be an improvement in the future because I genuinely don't think you can. This set changes the whole game for the better. 2x as sturdy, therefore, pockets vs. rims are fairly black and white. You can play on gym floors no problem due to the innovative rubber studs on the bottom. Legs fold in effortlessly. The ball, oh my goodness the ball! The new ball is my personal favorite part. It's such an even texture, weight, and shape. Seamless rubber allows you to hit it harder than before, at angles you didn't know existed. This spikeball set is way better than the title of this review. The balls are super grippy and responsive to any "english" you want to put on them. The legs and rim are very sturdy, certainly more rigid than the original set. Whether that makes it more likely to break in the event of an on-net landing has yet to be seen. Lastly, the bag is not your average drawstring. Two comfortable backpack straps, the front pocket, thick material and a heavy duty drawstring make for a great carrying case! I highly recommend that y'all go pro, even if you don't play that way.

This version is a bit sturdier and i like the integrated inflation device. Backpack is handy for storing and carrying and balls are bit better quality. Wish it was a bit cheaper but don’t regret the purchase.
I am a HUGE spikeball fan. I had a original spikeball set for about a year, and used it frequently. On July 23, I ordered the spikeball pro set and was really looking forward to the upgrade. After just one week of use, the net is already frayed and deteriorating. I am so dissapointed in the lack of quality for the price I paid. I should also note that I purchased an original spikeball set as a gift in June for my cousin, and his net is frayed too. I hope the spikeball team can change this.
I haven't played with it yet, (Christmas gift from my wife from me) so can't give a very detailed review. I have set it up and it seems sturdy and improved. I like the new balls and the ball pump. Having a ball pump will in itself solve any issue I've had with my spikeball sets. The bag is also an improvement. Nice outside pocket and backpack style straps. Wish it still had the hidden compartment like the original bag did. Overall seems top notch.

I'm guessing the price will eventually be lowered, but not after spikeball makes a huge profit first, and who can blame them. One can only wonder what Chris has planned next...but for now, join the movement and get the game that brings people together for endless fun and friendship!
So, over all I am happy with my purchase and how Sheels handled the situation. However, I'm still a little sad I didn't get everything I was expecting. From the box it seemed like I was going to get a set, ball pump, ball gauge, measuring line, and two pro balls. I had also heard that the pro sets came with a free tournament registration. When I got the order there was no registration and no measuring line to be seen. Scheels informed me that the box came with no measuring line and that it was a recent change from the spikeball company. Because of the miscommunication they gave a discount off of my already sale price. I did appreciate that very much and have no complainants about how they treated the issue. I received this for my birthday last year ( I'm 17 years old ) and have loved it ever since. I had already known about spike ball and my friends and I would play every so often. When this net came, my buddies and I tested it and found it to be so much better. The sturdier frame, the inverted colors on the rim and legs, and the grippier ball make for a lot of fun. Would highly recommend to anyone as long as they're old enough to understand a basic sport, but not too old ( at least a bajillion ) that they instantly break a hip when playing.
If you love the original spikeball, you'll love the new and improved version. If you are tired of constantly having to readjust the rim on the older set then you'll love the new design. it makes game play so much more fun. They've also changed up the ball and included some neat new features as well. If you're a spikeball enthusiast you should get one of these. I highly recommend or if you can't afford this set and are new to spikeball at least get the original spikeball. You won't regret it!! Fun for all ages!!!
