I've been incorporating this organic MCT oil into my daily routine, and it's been a reliable addition to my wellness regimen. The fact that it's organic gives me confidence in its quality. It blends smoothly into my morning coffee or smoothies, and I appreciate the boost of sustained energy it provides throughout the day. While it may not have an overpowering taste, it's a versatile and convenient way to add healthy fats to my diet. It's become a staple in my kitchen for its potential benefits, even though I haven't noticed any dramatic changes. If you're looking for a reliable source of MCT oil with organic credentials, this one is worth considering. Hoping it will be back in stock soon.

Caprylic Acid and Candida

This MCT oil is great to blend in my morning BulletProof coffee. Very high quality. Great bottle so no mess. Can be a it hard to get the exact amount out, you will need to get used to squeeze the bottle in just the right amount of pressure. Doesn’t smell or tastes odd. Blends in perfectly with coconut oil and and some cacao for a great tasting morning coffee.Occasionally I mix it with olive oil for salad dressing and again, no complaints at all.Definitely recommend to try it out!

Excellent organic MCT C8 oil for enhancing ketone production!
3 April 2021

I use 'Sports Research, Organic MCT C8 Oil' in my morning tea for its ability boost ketone production, especially β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB). C8, caprylic (octanoic) acid, is a monocarboxylated saturated fatty acid found enriched in coconut and in goat's milk and is one of the best producers of ketone bodies through β-oxidation. C8 generates a higher ketogenic effect than any other medium-chain-triglycerides (C6-C12) found in coconut oil. For this reason, taking MCT C8 Oil without the other MCTs is advantageous for boosting ketone production. After ingestion, C8 is liberated from the intestine and transferred to the liver, where it is broken down to three ketone bodies (β-hydroxybutyrate - technically not really a ketone, acetoacetate, and acetone). After ingestion, C8 is liberated from the intestine and transferred to the liver, where it is broken down to three ketone bodies (β-hydroxybutyrate - technically not really a ketone, acetoacetate, and acetone). Free fatty acids and ketones are then transported to the brain through blood circulation, crossing the blood-brain-barrier in the process, and are then available as source of energy for neurons. Ketones, especially BHB, have also been shown to be neuro-protective and anti-inflammatory, reducing microglial inflammation. 'Sports Research, Organic MCT C8 Oil' has an absolutely neutral taste compared to coconut MCT oil and can be added to coffee or tea in the morning. It is made from organic, non-GMO coconuts. Recommended dosage is 1 tablespoon per serving. At 1 serving per day, one bottle will last for about 1 month. Over time, the opening of the bottle may clog up from the oil, but this can easily be remedied with a wooden chopstick or rinsing the removable cap with water.

Excellent!
26 August 2023

I am using MCT oil since many years on a daily basis. After comparison, I found out that "Sports Research, Organic MCT Oil, Keto C8, 16 fl oz (473 ml)" is the best for price against Quality.I would continue using it. Besides , i also discovered that MCT Oil has no side effect (such as increasing LDL CHOLESTEROL as many pretends). So i always advocate my close friends and family to take MCT Oil.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!!
5 March 2023

Wouldn't be without Sports Research Organic C8 MCT. My lifestyle is intermittent fasting and I have a tablespoon of C8 MCT in my morning/mid-morning coffee... it keeps me going (sharp & alert) until I first eat after midday, usually around 2.00pm. I prefer Sports Research Organic C8 as it is in my opinion the "best quality" MCT on the market. I add to smoothies and steamed vegetables for the family. It is a most excellent product!

SR MCT C8 vs SR MCT C8:C10
9 October 2023

Good product, however, I did not see a difference between this one and the Sports Research MCT Oil C8:C10 that Costco sells which goes on sale for $15 often and you get a 32oz bottle! I used it with my black coffee on a keto diet and didn't see an increase in ketone level between the 2 products. Also, I read that C10 helps with fungus and yeast so it's not bad to have C10 for gut health. I recommend the C8:C10 for kids with Autism or ASD. There was an immediate behavioral noticeable difference in day 1 taking 3 tbps once a day. It's tasteless so mine are fine gulping it down.

Sports Research highly recommended
13 July 2023

Not really sure how to rate how this product works because my sister suggested using instead of regular cooking oils as a healthier version. Rated 4 stars because the company has good reputation, third party testing of ingredients, healthier cooking properties. Previous reviews stated energy booster, but not true for me. It is made of organic natural coconut oil (without additives) which is also tree nuts, a known allergen.
