I’m very pleased with my Cooper cords, they are soft and comfortable, classic straight leg, relaxed fit, understated style. It’s good to have something different in the wardrobe than my usual denim go to. I’ll get plenty of wear out of these.

I'm a pretty averagely-built man. You'd think it would be easy to find a pair of cords that were the right shape... good leg movement and not so tight that you can't pull them over your calf muscles (mine are not that big either). And weren't so long in comparison to the waist that you have to go through the rigmarole of getting them taken up. And that's not counting the fact that you want good quality material in a good colour. Well. it sure as heck is really hard.Then you find these. Eureka ! Thank you.
I love my Cooper Cords! The best thing about them - and about Sportscraft clothing generally - is the consistency of the fit. A Sportscraft size 38 will ALWAYS fit like a proper size 38. And that wonderfully consistent fit is coupled with a few percent of elastane in the fabric, so that the pants stretch in exactly the right places. After half a dozen outings, the pants look like they were tailor made! A soft fabric treatment means they are super comfortable to wear and an interesting range of colours rounds out the package. Some people wear Cords as a Winter staple, but I reckon I can get away with wearing them year round - when the weather suits - and I do! Definitely a consistent wardrobe favourite for me!
These cords COULD be decent basics to have in your wardrobe.Fit is acceptable, For reference, I am 183cm/6ft, 86kg, athletic build, and the 33 fits ok off the rack. The waist runs loose. And although it's a straight fit, upper legs are fairly tight due to my build, the inseam is also rather long so you'd most likely have to get it taken in and hemmed yourself, or you'd risk having too big of a break on your shoes (and you want to show off them kicks, don't ya?). The finish is ok for the price point.Overall, if you don't have a tall and slender build (which a lot of adult males in Australia certainly don't), or if you don't skip leg days like a good boi / is anywhere athletic, you'd have trouble getting a good fit with these pants off the rack. Great fit, flattering cut. This fine cord is light and breathable enough to wear on a subtropical Spring evening, but warm enough for a winter's day. The 'greystone' colour is a soft neutral black (neither brown nor blue tones... really a perfect colour, not grey, possibly charcoal) making it easy to style and easy to match. They match almost any colour... quite unique in that way. These pants look great dressed up with a belt and collared shirt, or relaxed with a hoodie.
I love the Cooper cord. It is a really versatile pant and I love wearing them. They look great dressed up with a turtleneck and a coat, or dressed down layered with a white T and a long sleeved shirt. The fabric is also super soft and does not press and look flat. I spray mine with a water mister every few times I wear them to lift the cord back up a little and make them shine.
Very comfortable, easy to wear. Dress up or down if needed. Great quality material. Good selection of colours. Good stretch for ease of wear. Will buy another pair.
