Bought for hubs, he definitely said to size up. He's normally a men's Large but according other reviewers, XL was the way better fit. He took it to Big Sky for its maiden run and loved his new pants. He thought the suspenders part would be annoying but came back with nothing but good things to say about these. Bought these & Spyder Sentinal - much prefer the fit of these. The fit of other pair were too poofy around legs, like a parachute. So returned those & kept these and nothing but smiles. Great fit & the red is sharp, much easier to spot on the slopes.

4 stars because I haven't used them yet, so this is just based on initial impressions and fit. Ordered the L size (I wear 32/32 and originally ordered M by their chart, but the sizing was too small, 5'11" 185 lbs), and they fit great, move and bend well in the knees. The removable suspenders are a nice comfortable width and nice large connection point in the back. Zippers and pulls seem to work well with wearing glove liners and the pockets have some depth to them. Insulation seems like it would work well by itself on mid 30s to low 50s days; and be fine on colder / windy days with your favorite base layer. I'm looking forwards to trying the pants out in a few months.🤞

Not gonna lie. I bought these because light grey pants are difficult to find. Moderate cut and fit. Not Euro tight and not steezy. I have plenty of experience with Spyder products, so this was an easy selection. Lightly insulated with zip-off suspenders and plenty of venting. Fine in average Colorado Winter temps with a light base layer, and certainly warm enough for severe temps with a mid layer underneath. In Spring, I'd probably be able to wear just shorts under them with the vents opened. I will be pairing these with the Spyder Grant 3-in-1 jacket.

These pants look great and the built in suspenders help a lot with a comfortable and loose fitting waist. However, the labeling that came attached to the pants indicates they are not made with Gore-Tex. Instead, they are made with spyder's proprietary version of gore-Tex, which is supposed to be equivalent. Perfect amount of light insulation as well.
Nice fabrics and materials. Great features the entry-level model doesn’t include: inner thigh vents, nicer zippers, rubber detailing on straps that stay in place during use. Fits true to size and consistent with the alpine style - fitted through the thighs and flared at the calves. Would love if there was a bit more room in the thighs, however I’m on the larger end of the “L” spectrum and they’re still really comfy.
My son keeps growing - we bought the same ski pants a couple of years ago and upgraded from a small/long to a medium/regular (he's almost 6' and about 155lbs). My husband also has the same pair. Pretty close to true-to-size - the legs are slightly narrow if you prefer a roomier fit. Bonus that these come with inseam options. Insulation in reasonably warm; the leg zips are great for regulating temperature. The adjustable waist and removable suspenders are great to have.
I just got these pants a few weeks ago. I ordered the blue/green color. I was surprised at how light blue they were...... certainly a lot more feminine than I was expecting. I read several other reviews and decided to order a size up and I am glad I did. This made the length perhaps a little too long but doable. I was surprised by how thigh they still were in the thighs. At the waist I found myself wishing I could make them go tighter but because I ordered the larger size there was no way to make the velcro waist adjuster go any tighter, luckily these have the built in suspenders so I didn't have to have them real tight.I have been skiing with them once. I feel like the build quality is very nice. Spyder usually seems to make high quality stuff. I went on a cold ... MoreI just got these pants a few weeks ago. I ordered the blue/green color. I feel like the build quality is very nice. Spyder usually seems to make high quality stuff. I went on a cold day to Grand Targhee and the pants were very warm. They did a good job keeping the wind out despite being very windy on a 20 F day. I was only wearing a very thin pair of thermal underwear under the pants and I was plenty warm. I was a little annoyed again by the legs feeling tight, they seemed to restrict my movement some. I am 6ft and weigh about 230 for reference. Overall good pants at a great price, little frustrated at the "minty light blue color" and the tight legs designed more for someone with little non athletic legs. If you have smaller thighs and like to wear skinny jeans these might be the right fit for you. If you can squat more than 150lbs and want to be able to "round house kick" someone for cutting in the lift line should the need arise these might not be the right pants for you.
Perfect fit for someone with thinner legs. I struggle with ski pants between a medium and a large. I'm typically a 34w32L in men's pants. Most of medium ski pants I ever try are too tight in the waist especially when you wear base layer and a mid layer .So I was buying larges, but they end up being a little too big in the waist and definitely big or baggy in the legs. These ski pants have more of a tapered leg or skinny fit in the thigh area.So I figured I would get a large in this style (spyder dare) pants, and it should fit me just right. I ended up finding them on Sunny Sports website in a large/ short length. When they arrived I tried them on and had a big smile on my face, I finally found a pair of pants that fit my body type.My recommendation would be to ... MorePerfect fit for someone with thinner legs. Really like the zippered air vents on the thighs. Also love the fact that spider offers ski pants in long, regular or short length.
Great fit, I purchased a large, it fits true to size for a slim cut. They are not bulky and have the right amount of insulation for me. Have used them in Temp. ranging from -12 degrees to -1 degree Celsius. Product seems well made, but only have 3 days of use though. I really like that it came in a short in-seam size, I am 5'9", (I do not like ski pants that bunch up at the bottom). I would like if they came in more color choices in the short size pant, though. Overall really happy with them.
I bought these in XXL for $179 on sale in Citron after buying Helly Hanson bibs of similar quality in XL and XXL that were too snug in the legs and crotch and chest so I returned them. I'm 6'3 and 250 (38 waist and 48L jacket) with an ex athlete dad bod, big quads and a big barrel chest and the HH bibs were too small?think European cut. But this Spyder gear fits nice. Maybe a bit too loose around the waste for the room I need for my legs, but the suspenders fix that. Excellent construction and quality and pockets. I will update my review once I get a chance to use them this season. They look like they will keep me warm and dry.
