Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster - 3-Color Sunburst

Pros:-Smooth frets-Awesome finish-Nice soundsCons:-Tuning stability-Needs a lot of adjustingI love the look and sounds. But it did require a setup and other adjustments to get it playable. This may not be an issue for some players, but I could imagine this being a huge turn off for a beginner. I had to shim the neck, apply Loctite to bridge screws (kept slipping down so low that all strings would buzz), and the nut needed to be lowered. After a week or so of adjustments it plays pretty well but still has some buzzing in certain areas. If you don’t mind doing some extra work this is a pretty good deal. If you want something that requires less tweaking then I’d recommend a more simple setup like a Tele or Les Paul.

I got the three color body, nice finish I must say. The body seems to be in three parts. Noticeable on the back, no biggie though. Pickups have a nice slinky sounds, with a warm tone aswell. Over all its not a bad guitar. I'm looking forward to playing this in church soon. The only cons I found with this, is that a little more attention could be done on the side frets. Not bad but still can feel them. Once I started playing I forgot about them. Again no biggie. For years I have put off these offset guitars, why I don't know. Main stream they're not popular.But boy do they offer alot of sound I was missing. My Tele and Strat are going in the closet. I found alot of reviews on these and I can say I'm truly not disappointed.

I was intrigued by Leo Fender`s Jazzmaster Guitarand read about it with great interest. As the price foran American made instrument was not to be consideredI ordered the Squier CV 60`s Jazzmaster instead.In 2008 and `09 I bought Classic Vibe 50`s and60`s Strats.They then came with Alder bodies and Istill play them and they`re still nice quality guitars.I was sent an instrument that must have beenin the store for ages. One could see swellingat the back of the body and around the mid-necksection even slightly feel it. There was somemank at the back of the headstock and traces ofpolishing? in front either side by theneck-socket. Setting the intonation and neck was easyand this Jazzmaster imho did not need a shim withthe factory 9`s. I didn`t unpack the trem, soI didn`t use it. Being the way it was, I had thefeeling that this was sent to me as new by mistake,though that is only my assumption. The playabilityof the neck, similar to Tele and Strat, and the weight of about3.65kgs came in as comfortable enough, and I liked the varietyof sound that one can create. But honestly, I thinkI can create those sounds with my strats and teles aswell. Nevertheless, I recommend this instrument as a 2ndor 3rd, because it is interesting in looks, tone andplayability. I do not recommend it as a beginner`s guitar.

Brilliant jazzmaster especially for the music that I'm into

It's my life long to play a jazzmaster especially the music that I'm into which is Shoegaze/dreampop/indie, this amazing edition of the fender squire jazzmaster has improved so much. By the neck/fretboard, the bridge has made a improvement and the body weight of the guitar itself feel lighter.It's almost close to the J Masics JazzmasterBrilliant guitar own and worth the money.

Can’t beat this guitar at this price

Overall:This is my first jazzmaster. I have 2 les Paul’s, and right out of the box this is my favorite guitar. The setup was perfect upon opening, and it just plays so smoothly. I love the subtle blue color of the Sonic Blue. Pickups sound great clean or overdriven, and the rhythm circuit is a lot of fun to experiment with. If a Squier Jazzmaster is this good, how good is a Fender? zZounds was awesome, as always. Will certainly buy more Jazzmasters. Highly recommended!

Classic vibe Better tan ever

Overall:My classic vibe from zZounds came in yesterday, it is flawless, not real heavy, i did cut the nut, i like low action, my action is 3/64th at the 12th fret, the bridge pickup on this model is 11.80 ohms, very Mosrite sounding. The finish is great, the tuners work very well, vibrato stay in tune, intonation was spot on, the new bridge is a nice improvement. Just a great guitar. Buy this from zZounds you will not do any better.

Don't be ruled by label's

This Jazzmaster is very close in build and feel to the original guitar. The Squier name is slowly getting the excellent reputation it deserves. In my opinion, Squier produce first class instruments and many times they are better than Fender labelled units. I have many Squier and Fender guitars and I have discarded any label snobbery that ruled me in the past.

Fender Squier classic vibe Jazzmaster

The neck is very comfortable. Guitar looks very beautiful and it's 100% healthy. Change the strings at first and maybe adjust the action ( if needed), you'll be satisfied with it.I'm using an audio interface and Amplitube 4, and it sounds pretty good. It's the best affordable instrument for blues and rock. (not for metal though). The disadvantage is, that it's not a versatile guitar like a strat. It's a little bit heavy.sometimes A little bit complicated settings.Music store also tests the instrument before delivery, which is very good and it has a good finance plan.

Great Squire Jazzmaster, especially for the money!

All in all, this is a really nice guitar! I've had many guitars over the last 50+ years of guitaring and I wish I would have gotten a Jazzmaster a long time ago. The fit and finish on this one is very good, there are many tones to be had. For my taste, the pups sound great and the guitar is very inspiring to play. It plays great now after I put a setup on it. There was a problem with one of the nut slots where the D slot was not cut properly so I had to file it out with a .026" file, not to lower it, but to clean out a stair step slot bottom. That string would ping when I bent a note on it. After that, it played just fine. The truss rod had to be tightened slightly also, but that's to be expected with most new guitars anyway. For the price paid, this guitar feels ... MoreAll in all, this is a really nice guitar!
