I'm trying this brandy for the first time, based on the information posted by the seller. \nI find it to be suitable for the baking I'm doing as the flavour of this brandy is not too strong as to overpower the flavour of the fruits I'm soaking. Also, at 36% alcohol, it is just right for this stage in my process. I'll recommend this over the higher priced Brandies for this initial process, save the expensive Brandy for the finish layer. Cheers!

The French brand of St Remy was created back in 1886, and, as is Cognac, produced through a double distillation process and then aged in French oak barrels. However, St Remy brandy differs in the fact that the grapes are grown in regions other than Cognac.St-Rémy I think, is easier to drink mouth feel wise than Hennessy and Rémy presents itself a little more spicy and fruity.The palate is very bright with some underlying tannin from the oak.Very clean and not overly complex. Value: This is very decent stuff (and not expensive either).
For the cost this is a quality brandy. I will start with I am not a brandy connoisseur. I use it for making brandy old fashions and it makes a fantastic drink. If you are looking for a bourbon alternative to your old fashions or enjoy the drink a little sweeter with still enough kick I highly recommend
If you’ve only got twenty dollars, BUY THIS!I know you real experts know this isn’t a Cognac because of the region, but the taste is very very close to a Courvoisier. This just has an aftertaste that distinguishes it from the household name cognacs. That aftertaste is not harsh enough to ruin the whole drinking experience.
