They are easy to blend even on dark paper and can achieve beautiful watercolour effects when used in conjunction with water and a brush. The 7mm large lead is ideal for large sketches and shading larger areas. STAEDTLER Full Watercolour Pencils are hexagonal shaped for maximum comfort and grip with the additional advantage of them not rolling on the table. Whilst the pencils have no wood case they have a varnished barrel to keep hands clean. STAEDTLER Full Watercolour Pencils can be sharpened with any standard pencil sharpener.
