Disapointments*Low output water based ink and quality of writing are pale and ink skips a lot. Maybe next time try some oil based ink, doesnt skip ink, airtight body, 0.5mm ballpoint, and fast drying(doesnt smudge) design.*Unsealed Pen. Not really a problem but for some people like me that works on damp, confined, and heavy conditions. It should be airtight but with some fine CAD magic this could be fixed and redesigned.*I have to apply variable pressure just to write properly which is frustrating but it still pale quality.I hope staedtler redesign this pen and that would be great. I really love staedtler products but not this. I would pay extra for higher quality version.

Personally, I was optimistic about the blue colour variant of this pen. I think it's build quality is excellent, however, it drops the ball when it comes to ink. The ink is an unexpectedly soft sky blue which is a stark contrast in comparison to BIC for example. It takes a bit to get the ink working and for 86 cents a pen you're far better off opting for BIC's 0.7mm pens at about 50 cents per pen. I find the red, black and green versions of this pen are quite good although the red and black still fall a little short of BIC pens in terms of ink and BIC doesn't have a 0.7mm in green to my knowledge. In general, I would opt for BIC, however, the green version of this pen is quite nice.

I really like these. They have a nice fine line that doesnt bleed like some of the others. I dont use Sharpies because they bleed most of the time. These are so much better. And they dont dry out fast. I used one the other day that had not been used for several months and it still writes I was really expecting it to be dried out.

The variety is great... lots of in between shades I was looking for. The darker colors seem to work better than the lighter colors. The ultra fine tips work great for detailing, but can tear through thin paper if you go over it too many times. Overall I would buy again.
I needed finepoint pens to write in the margins of my literature textbooks and my journaling Bible. My lit textbook pages are as thin as rice paper, so the pens had to be compatible. I am absolutely ecstatic over the results The 20 varied colors are vibrant and easy to locate without bleeding through the thin pages. I also appreciate the nondrying feature of being able to use the markers repeatedly while not having to open, cap, open, recap, etc. The icing on the cake is the sturdy, attractive, and convenient stand in which they come. The price was well worth the value. I could not recommend these more highly.
As a lefty, Ive struggled finding just the right pens and pencils to use. Sadly, the pens Ive used for years are no longer available. Thank goodness a young Staples associate also lefthanded offered to help me in my search for a replacement brand. He directed me to the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens and explained the difficulty hes had finding pens that satisfy his needs. Besides working at Staples, he is also currently a student and writes a lot. He assured me these pens work well for him and would be right for me. Therefore, I decided to purchase a set and I am finding they are perfect for me. I have found an answer to my writing needs The assortment of colors is also a bonus
Everyone I know thinks I have an obsession with anything that writes. Well, I agree with them all. Ive been using Staedtler Triplus Pens for about 15 years and I just absolutely love them Theyre my everything pens I write with them, I color with them, I correct my students work with them, and I draw with them They last forever, dont bleed or smear, and the fine point is such a plus when I want to get into small areas. Did I tell you how much I love these pens Lol You wont be disappointed
Upon their first use, pens frequently run out of ink. You have to rotate the pen while you're using it just to get even ink distribution---awful to write with, very inconvenient. There's next to no flow in the ink, brand new pens write like they're almost empty. Every single pen in the packet was like this, and sometimes even turning the pen around and changing angles wouldn't help.
These have always been the King of Ball-Point pens - smooth writing with always the correct ink flow, allowing "blob-free" script. The 'Medium' tip is spot-on for clarity. Hard to find in shops, thank heavens they're available here, online!
I don't know how these Staedtler pens are the best - but they always have been! My usual raggedy old writing always perks up when I use one of these and makes it look as if I actually have hand-writing 'style'. They don't blotch, they go on for ages, and the flow never fades [until the end has come!] The 'M'edium tip has always been ideal, too : never too scratchy or too 'wide' : perfect for filling in those tiny boxes for names and addresses etc, on forms. Hard to find in the shops : get them here for a writing revolution [and revelation], if you're new to Staedtler!
