This level sets the standard for all others. The body is cast aluminium with a machined base and V-grooved to accurately fit pipe and corners. The bubble is easy to see and the magnets are strong. To make it a 24" or 48" level, I simply snap on to a longer straight edge base using the embedded magnets. The best feature is the adjustable protractor bubble that tells you exactly how many degrees something is off plumb. A very useful tool! The only change I would recommend is to make it flat on both sides and maybe a longer version.

This level Woks well in any situation. I have used it in Frame Work to building Hand Rails, Roof pitches. With metal the magnetic grip is outstanding. Every one should consider having one for their pocket.

The level works well but the magnets are best suited for home use. I work in industrial settings and find that this product doesn’t quite make the cut in this application.

As an Electrician, this Torpedo level is a mainstay of my tool bag. Highly accurate with a degree finder to help with conduit bending. Only complaint is the notched groove down the magnetic side sometimes does not site properly on certain sizes of conduit. All in all, great product.
Most of my jobs occur around the house or friends houses. This level was purchased around 10 years ago in a hardware store. What a great level. The vails are large and easy to see. It has one rotating vial for checking angles. Occasionaly when I am working on a project I want to check an angle or I am laying a pipe and want a specific angle. This tools works great for that application. There are two recessed rare earth magnets on the V bottom. Some reviewers thinks the magnets are not strong enough. Attached is a picture showing the level upside down sticking to a thin wall tube by one magnet. The magnets are strong enough. The part description calls it an 11-3/4 in Magnetic Torpedo Level. The level is 9 3/4 inches long.I like the functionality and looks of this ... MoreMost of my jobs occur around the house or friends houses. Great for horizontal and vertical leveling. Has a great magnetic. Im not a fan of the level that rotates because its not very accurate i find. It will get you close but dont try to use it if you want exact angles like a 45
I have had one of these for about 2 Years, It was great. Right up until the center vial level broke. I had it magnetized to a pole in a room i was renovating for 2 weeks. Went to go use it, and the main level was broken, right across one of the level indicators. Suggesting a defect in its manufacture. My suggestion, dont let these near temps above 40degres
I bought this level after losing mine at the job site, in the past ice found stanley to make good reliable tools. Im a plumber so i use my level allday when doing drainage piping, This levelwas poorly designed,it has weak magnets wont hold on the bottom of a pipe and the shape of the level was no good.
This level feels solid in your hands and has many great features. The magnets and grooved channel in the base make this level stick to metal pipes like it was glued there. The vials are very easy to read. I'm not 100% certain about the accuracy of the adjustable vial, to get angle readings, but for most jobs it works well enough.
I work on building scaffolds it is very important when using the level on a scaffold to make sure that the magnet is strong enough to hold on the bar I used a hammer to pain down the bar on the leg and the level fell off it has a weak magnet grip
