Stanley 8m / 26ft FatMax Tape

(189 reviews)

The Stanley FatMax Blade Armor 8m/26ft has all the hallmarks of this excellent range of tapes. The 8 metre / 26 foot coiled steel blade is marked in both metric and imperial measurements and coated in Mylar to prolong its working life by up to ten times that of a more traditional, lacquer-coated product. With a blade width of 32mm the user is presented with two key advantages over a more traditionally narrow-bladed tape. Not only are the measurements on the blade effortless to read, the additional width (combined with the quality of the steel used) helps provide an exceptional standout of 3.35m. The blade also conforms to the independently regulated EEC Class II standard of accuracy. As with all the tapes in this range, the blade is tipped with a rugged, rust proof ‘tru- zero’ end hook, allowing the user to take internal measurements as accurately as external measurements. The innovative hook design also enables the user to take measurements from above, below or the side with ease. The hook also has the added advantage of being securely fixed to the blade with 3 rivets whilst the first 100mm (the part most susceptible to damage) of the blade is protected using Stanley's patented 'Blade Armor' technology. The case of this tape measure is manufactured from impact resistant ABS plastic and its durability is enhanced by the addition of the huge rubberised shock absorber surrounding the casing. This also ensures comfortable and controlled handling as well as the excellent durability of the case and the enclosed blade and hook mechanism.
