Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle 1.4L - Hammertone Green

Had one of the originals of this vacuum bottle and it lasted over 20 years. Eventually the chrome base rusted out and the centre of the stopper disintegrated. Araldited a coin into the stopper and continued using it, but eventually it wouldn’t keep hot overnight in the winter.I have high hopes for this new product and I’m confident it’ll last every bit as long as the old one. How good is it? It’s supposed to keep water hot for 40 hours; it does exactly that. In short, it’s excellent. This is a quality product and won’t disappoint. Pricey; but if it lasts as long as my old one it’s very good value for money.

I have a variation of this bottle that I have been using nearly every day for my coffee for the past 7 years and this thing still works like a charm. It is covered in vinyl stickers and is showing its wear but my hot coffee stays hot and my iced coffee stays cold. I also had this bottle in my rear bike panniers both times I got hit by a car (head on from the side the 1st time & right hooked the 2nd time) and there is not a dent on this thing from either crash so durability is definitely a 10/10. The only downside is that it's a little hard to clean. There is definitely some gunk in the screw top that I cannot scrub off for the life of me. But other than that I can see myself using this for another 7 years just fine.

Almost 30 years old run over still works as advertised

Years ago when I was a kid my dad worked for a water well drilling company. One morning he was running late and left it on the box on back of the truck he drove for the company. He was a welder and this truck was a 3/4 ton ram 2500 dually and he just had it across a weigh scale after a scrap run and it weighed in at just over 8 tons with all the material and equipment for his job. Well you guessed it he backed out the driveway and the thermos fell and he ran it over. It had but a small dent and still worked perfectly fine. That was some where around early 2000s when it was run over but the thermos was bought in the early 90s. It was roughly 10 years old at the time and he actually still uses it to this day and it still keeps his coffee hot for up to 2 days. Average Thermos for hot or cold beverages

I’m impressed with this 20 ounce thermos for a few of its features. I’m very glad That it’s great for holding plenty of soup and the awesome cup/bowl lid feature. When you have to run the kiddos around or just run I g errands on your own, it’s great to have a cup of something warm or piping hot handy in cold weather. This thermos definitely saved me more than once this week alone by keeping my hearty chicken soup warm and delicious for a few hours. I poured a serving at a time into the litter lid and kept the rest insulated by tightening the inner lid-Meanwhile I enjoyed my comforting cup. I also took this thermos on a road trip with the family last month-with no leaks! It was definitely put to the test with multiple tips and flips. The only problem is that it didn’t hold the temperature of the liquids for much more than three(3) hours. My hot soup was lukewarm at best after three hours and the iced tea was slightly cool after four(4) hours on the road. I definitely like this product for what it can do, but I can’t give it four or five stars when it claims much more than it delivered. I’d still recommend this thermos, but I’d also add that the consumer should expect 3-4 hours of insulated temperature along with the other awesome features.

Classic, Fantastic

I used this all summer to bring cold brew coffee to the lake - and it was one of the BEST companions I could have ever found! It holds such a great amount of liquid and it doesn't even feel all that heavy (especially for how much coffee we were able to bring!) It did a great job of keeping the cold brew cold, I would often come home with ice still in the container. We have also used it for hot coffee a few times, and as promised, it keeps it very very warm. It's called the Classic Legendary bottle for a reason!

Product quality has dropped.

I had high hopes when I bought this as I had known about it for a while because my sisters use it for their kids, plus the reviews were really encouraging. Unfortunately mine doesn’t stay hot for up to 12hours, I don’t know if it’s the particular one I was sent, but I will be returning it as it doesn’t serve it’s purpose. I knew it wouldn’t work for me when I noticed the lid is always hot after I pour in hot water, meaning the flask wouldn’t hold the hotness for long.I believe the quality of this product has dropped and I will be returning it.

Stanley 2.5 qt thermos

Very sturdy thermos. The handle is strong and larger allowing you to carry this with ease.My husband has huge hands. For example, his ring finger is a size 13 and I have to find 4xl or 5xl gloves for the winter gear. The handle is attached, doesn't appear that it will ever break off and my husband can grab the handle comfortably.This was a fantastic purchase.(Wanted the navy blue, black is great.)

Since then we have used the flask and box on dozens of fishing trips off the Namibian west coast, on the Indian ocean off Mauritius and the South African East coast, on safaris through the Namib desert, the Kaokoland and Etosha Pans in Northern Namibia, on Safari through Botswana and on photographic safaris into the arid South African Karoo. During these trips the Stanley has been transported in backpacks, on horseback, on trucks, in aircraft hulls, on makorros, deep-sea fishing boats, motorcycles and mountain bikes. Between trips we used it to many school excursions and horse riding events. By the end of 2020 the bottle was fine but showed much wear and tear. I wanted it repaired because it had character and contacted the local agents who examined the bottle and without any questions asked, replaced the bottle under the lifetime warranty. The lunch box now has a new bottle and my children now use it. Has it become an heirloom? It must be very rewarding to have so much confidence in your product to sell it with a lifetime warranty. Tough as Nails!!!!!

Had mine for several weeks now. As a truck driver, I look for a tough Vacuum Bottle that does the job well. 1st thing; it keeps my coffee hot as promised, usually bottle it at around 7-9 pm the night before and it's still piping hot at 6pm the next night. 2nd; This Vacuum Bottle is super tough, it has survived drops and even a rollover crash that I was a passenger in, just has a small ding and a few scratches but still keeping the coffee hot!!! Highly recmmend this bottle!!!!!!!

I just got this Stanley thermos about a week ago. It arrived exactly as described and shown in the photos. I've been using it daily thru the week since it arrived without any leaking and I've been happy with it. It's 4 oz less than my last one but it's taller and more slender which makes it travel in my backpack better than my old one. A little smaller but it travels better for my needs.It's been reliable at holding my coffee hot all week but the real magic happened over this past weekend when I was helping a buddy move. I made a thermos full of coffee for the fellas but no one wanted any coffee. So it stayed in my backpack until I completely forgot about it. It had the whiffs of steam drifting out of the thermos as I poured. We each enjoyed a bit of nice hot coffee on a chilly evening without any problem.Yes, I can absolutely recommend the Stanley Thermos to a friend!Pro Tip- Prime your thermos to maintain the most hot or cold you want for your beverages. When you put in a beverage, the temperature will settle at about half way between the temps of your beverage and the sitting temperature of the thermos.To keep it cold longer for cold beverages, put ice water inside for about 5 minutes to put a chill in it before adding your cold beverages. For hot beverages, put hot water inside to heat up the thermos and keep your hot beverages hot longer.How I do is easiest for me, I run my coffee maker once *without coffee* just to get the hot water and pour that hot water into my thermos to heat it up. Then it sits on the side for a few minutes while I brew my actual coffee. Then I pour out the hot water and pour in my fresh hot coffee into the heated thermos. I find that doing this keeps my coffee hot for much longer.Priming the thermos really maximizes the potential of your thermos.
