I was tossing up whether to buy a much more expensive De Walt saw, but after reading some reviews and researching who made these saws. Black and Decker are a familiar brand name and they sure wouldn't put a product out there that is substandard. I showed it to a tradie friend of mine and he was very impressed with the build quality and the features on the saw. The price is a small part of the overall purchase decision I made.

Great design for its price, very powerful and easy to use.
Box was taped up (demo or returned item?) but it works great, very pleased with the saw for the price.
Big upgrade from my last skilly I have a few Stanley power tools now they work very for me as a home skilled carpenter

very solid cast base, which is exactly what I was looking for.Corded Circular saws from other brands are just sheets of steel, too flexi.It's not brushless, but the carbon brush is actually replaceable (though not sure where to buy replacements)The blade came with the saw is only 24 teeth, after getting a separate 40 tooth blade, it's working much better.solid unit, a bit on the heavy side, but sturdygiven the price, very satisfied with it.
Great tool and price works well! Surprisingly well made and powerful.
