I’m not sure a review from me will reflect a real test of this box. I wanted this box only for storage of parts. It is therefore ‘static’ and will not suffer the rigours of being loaded in and out of vehicles, being transported between sites and used every day. Having said that, it does appear a strongly made box with a robust hinge system and (importantly judging by other boxes I’ve had) metal catches. I have no reason to believe this box wouldn’t stand up to some severe work, but as said, my example will not be subject to harsh use.

Handy storage box for various tools. It offers sufficient space for my mains voltage drill, drill bits, screwdrivers and lots more. There is a handy lift-out tray in the top which is ideal for keeping smaller items safe from being lost in the bottom of the main section. The box is solidly made, with secure hinges and clasps (which are slightly awkward to fully open). I expect to get many years of faithful use from this solid box.

Was £10 cheaper than the yellow tool brand. Quality seems fine, the latches are lesser quality than the yellow tool brand but still decent. The tool tray is quite small. As for what you can get in one of these I got a circular saw, small angle grinder, and multi-tool, plus a spare battery. It has a rubber seal which helps to keep tools dry should your storage space be damp. Only time will tell on durability.

The tool box is great. We bought this as a Christmas gift for one of my lads. He absolutely loves it and is happy to have a tool box made by a famous brand.My son is16 is on an apprentice course to to be a joiner therefore he has started creating a tool kit for himself. So we bought him the Stanley tool box as a starter point to put a collection of tools together.
Compact yet quite spacious, this sturdy little box is better than I expected. The ratio of length : depth : height gives it more utility than the more traditional ratio of ‘long’ boxes. Whilst my larger boxes are split by trade / type of tools, I use this for a small mix of everyday essentials (small drill / impact driver / batteries / charger / hammer / screws / plugs etc) as it’s easy to store and transport for smaller jobs.
Bought 3 of these stackable boxes for the van. Very good price and available to pick up immediately. The boxes were bigger than I expected (which was better) and stack solidly together. Seem well made as you would expect from Stanley. I also expect to get many years of use from them
This is a really well made storage box. I’m 14 stone and can stand on it without it creeping at the seams! The side walls and lid are a decent thickness, not flimsy at all, but able to withstand impact from everyday use. The metal lid catches secure positively, never had them unlatch. The handle is very sturdy and folds down into the lid. There’s a handy tool tray provided that rests in the top of the box. I like the Pro-Stack system. I have several boxes, the clips that hold the boxes to each other lock them fast, especially during transportation. I can’t fault it, another great storage solution from Stanley.
Great size solid toolbox. Using it for my fishing equipment, fits plenty of tackle and my butties. Only gripe would be that the removable storage tray should be closed under handle as things can drop through to the bottom of the main box which can be annoying. But still gets 5 stars as such a good quality box. Will definitely get some Pro-Stack add ons when I need more space.
Bought this to keep an evolution track compatable cordless circular saw in as it is a bare unit with no carry case and I like my tools in cases. I had to customise it inside with cardboard for the saw to sit in right but it's not too much trouble to do. Also the plastic tray won't fit in as well as saw but that doesn't bother me. Sturdy box which does the job I want at a decent price. Pretty much the same as the DeWalt ones.
Sturdy, easily portable tool box. Handy size for battery drill/impact driver batteries, charger and a small selection of hand tools, even a tennon saw. I managed to get a circular saw and a router in along with a few attachments. The tool tray is good for screwdrivers, pliers, torpedo level etc but it is not as wide as the box. The box has a number of folds for rigidity which reduces capacity slightly. Stacking is straightforward and secure when positioned correctly. Good value at sale price.
