Really happy with this tool - plenty of grunt, and the telescoping pole makes it easier to handle and store. I already had a Stanley v20 battery so this makes it easy to just change between this and the hedge trimmer, which is also really good. Battery easily trimming around the whole lawn. Not too heavy, and you can adjust the angle of the handle to get a comfy position.
Was reasonably confident to purchase going off the reviews - and that my other Stanley tools are all very good. This is brilliant! Works a treat every bit as good as my old petrol one only without all the fuss!!
Well constructed, sturdy, adjustable length and angle (via the telescoping pole and adjustable handgrip). Lightweight and manages the grass and weeds very well. Automatically feeds out the trim line to the right length. Battery life is impressive and it's an instant start compared to a petrol model. Great choice and very happy.
Bought this mainly because it came with a 4Ahr battery "free" but thought the trimmer might compliment my Stihl petrol trimmer, which it does, being very light and obviously no fuel/oil/starting/noise, but it's VERY light weight in terms of cutting ability too. Good for a quick trim of a small area.
My parents brought this. Was disappointed it didn’t come with a battery. Got to redeem one by buying online, took 30 days to get here. Went to use it only to realise no charger. Have to spend another $100 for that, have had it a month now and havn’t even used it. What’s the point in selling something that you can’t use straight away?Really disappointed with Stanley.
Being an old woman and not very tool wise, i didnt realise i had to buy a batterry for $60 and then a charget for the battery,another $80+.seperately.so was quite costly for a pensioner
Great product easy to use. Don’t be fooled however this range of battery are different to the previous Fatmax series meaning you have to have two different battery systems
