It works pretty good but the hacksaw blade that came with it was a little too flexible for the particular job. Apparently, the teeth per inch was wrong for the type of metal (aluminum) and needed to be closer together. Another hacksaw blade worked much better.

Easy and ready to use. fits good in my hand. for very small projects only...You can use the blade for iron as push or pull. the small wood blade only pull...

High quality and well designed. Very effective for cutting metal in tight spots (I had to cut out a rusty bolt on an old Defender).

I have a Stanley Saw similar to this one I bought back in the 90's when I was having a home built and had been looking for another in your stores for a few years. By accident it pop up on my computer in a new design of Fat Max with two types on blades now. Very happy it did so. Handy for quick cuts in small places.
I've been using it for two months now on building a speaker cabinet and I can confidently say this thing sucks. It's not completely useless but just adjacent to it. The blades tend to snap off with ease, and hardly cuts wood at all. Now it is helpful for getting into small tight spaces, but for normal sized jobs be prepared to be hacking away for a few hours before making any progress. It's a great concept, but terrible execution. Unless you have a very niche use for it steer clear.
Blades bend and break easily. Might work with stronger, shorter blades, but not the ones that came with it. That said, I'm not about to chase good money after bad. Cutting my losses, which is about the only thing I can cut with this saw.
I just purchased two Stanley Fat Max 4.5 in. Tooth Saws with Plastic Handles. Neither came with the plastic handle--only the blades. From the other reviews, it appears this has happened to other customers. How could the HD warehouse send two with no handles? Quality control at Stanley and HD leave something to be desired.
The plastic handle is either not included in my package. Not sure if it should be included but the pictures are misleading is it's not part of the order!
This saw is perfect for the DIY apartment dweller. It is small enough to fit in a drawer buteasily trims blinds, cut wires, presentation boards, styrofoam and opens boxes.
This tool exactly fit the bill! It comes with two blades, and is perfect for small jobs. The quality os very good, and it was delivered to my local HD store in a couple of days....
