Best water bottle I’ve ever owner

Sturdy, easy to clean, holds a lot of water and keeps it COLD!Seriously, this is the best water bottle I’ve ever had. Yes, it’s too large to carry while jogging, but I bring one with me everywhere I go. My water goal is 1 gallon a day, and this allows me to fill this up twice and hit that goal. Very durable, it’s taken lots of dings and drops and hits, and I think it just looks cooler for it. As a Gen-Xer, I’ve covered this thing in stickers from places I’ve visited, so I only put the top and straw in the dishwasher, but the wide mouth bottle is super easy to scrub clean by hand with dish soap. I lost my first one, and couldn’t make it 36 hours without buying a new one. Then I found the original one, so now I have two! These go with me to the office, to theater ... MoreSturdy, easy to clean, holds a lot of water and keeps it COLD!Seriously, this is the best water bottle I’ve ever had. I really like durability of my jug. The cold retention is also great. It is incredibly sturdy and a great addition into my daily life. However, there are occasional instances when it leaks, which can be quite frustrating. I am unsure whether the issue lies in my closure technique or if the lid could be better designed. Nevertheless, despite this minor setback, I'm still keeping it due to the positive attributes I mentioned previously

Love this jug. Attributes are obvious - big enough for a day’s worth of Slurpee-style drink and keeps it icy for the entire day. The large mouth makes loading with ice or cleaning up easy. But there’s a couple of design issues I think can be remedied:1. It needs an old-style ‘lay flat’ handle built into the body. This made the old ‘work buddy’ bottles easy to hang on to in an upright position, or pour from, or drink from, all with one hand. The newer handles just stick out too far when not in use, so bring back the old design and apply it here. The top carry handle is nice, but I do worry that it will eventually cause the lid to fail.2. An alternate lid. One that has no openings, will not leak, and insulates better. Or maybe one with a small screw top attached ... MoreLove this jug. They could be sold separately or other options. I just dislike the flip straw lid. Eventually it leaks, and is the weakest part of this product.Food for thought. And on that note, I’m going to fill up my jug to go with it.

Great Water Jug
17 May 2023

Great half-gallon water jug. Holds plenty of water and keeps water cold. To the review about it not fitting in a cup-holder in a car, no duh. It is a 64oz jug and not designed to fit into a cup holder. If you want something for that then get one designed for that. If you want to carry a reasonable amount of water with you and keep it cold without having to constantly fill something smaller, this is your go to jug. Big and wide opening make cleaning it a breeze unlike ones with smaller openings.

Loyal Stanley Customer

I am now a loyal Stanley customer. I am building my collection and had to add the 64 oz jug for long car rides/roadtrips. I like my water cold, and have a hard time drinking room temperature water. I can always count on Stanley products to keep my water cold for hours. I appreciate how durable and high quality this product is. I love how bold and vibrant the colors are. They are eye-catching, and make me excited to drink more water.. I got the color "Carnelian" and its absolutely gorgeous in person!

Makes hitting hydration goals easy
12 December 2022

This is a user-friendly mega jug- works well for me at work as I do not have time to refill frequently, but this keeps me content for a good while before needing a refill. I am able to get more water in throughout the day. Easy-carry handle. Car-rider friendly and does not leak. The straw works well. Very sturdy. My only critique would be to see/side-wall water level. No actual logic, but I find that when I have a larger container, I drink more. Great for thirsty folks like me!

My New Everyday Water Container
7 July 2021

I drink a lot of water daily, usually over 8 cups, more on exercise days. I use this jug everyday at home and fill it with water from the fridge door dispenser. It does keep the fridge-cold water cold for at least the stated 14 hours in the event I don't drink it all, longer if you don't open it much, like when you're sleeping. It's easy to clean and fill with the wide mouth opening, but I do wish it came with a straw cleaner to clean the straw and drinking spout.I found the spout hard to open at first. Between dry hands and the little tab to push the spout open, I didn't have enough leverage. It can still be difficult, but I have found that I can get more leverage by putting one thumb across the tab and pushing on that thumb with my other thumb.I never thought ... MoreI drink a lot of water daily, usually over 8 cups, more on exercise days. It can still be difficult, but I have found that I can get more leverage by putting one thumb across the tab and pushing on that thumb with my other thumb.I never thought I would use a water bottle with a flip straw/spout, but it is more convenient when it has more water. I previously used a wide-mouth 32 oz bottle and sometimes a drop or two would dribble out of the corner of my mouth when I take big gulps. And since it holds more liquid, I don't have to fill it as much. In an effort to maximize fill, I would have preferred to see a fill line on the inside. You do have to be careful not to overfill it and allow room for water displacement due to the straw. It did leak when I likely overfilled and intentionally turned it upside down to test. But this will not leak if filled properly and the spout is shut, in the case that it gets knocked over.I like that this is not top-heavy so as to be a tip hazard in any place other than a cup holder.I really like the handle on this jug. It makes it very easy to carry and set down. The handle also makes for a very convenient elevated phone stand in either vertical or horizontal orientation between the handle and the spout tab in closed position. With the metal vacuum construction, it is heavier than plastic water bottles. It's a trade-off I don't mind because it holds more and keeps it cold, which will be handy at outdoor activities, like beach/park days or soccer games.I received this water bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

No other jug like this jug
24 July 2023

Love, love, love this jug! I'm not a typical Stanley Utah girl like so many others, but this was gifted to me through a company I used to work for and I absolutely love it. It's something that I didn't know I needed until I had it. It stays cold for hours in a hot car in Utah summer heat and always has a great taste. So easy to clean. I drink way more water having this thing around and even though it's a bit bigger than a normal water bottle, it comes everywhere with me. Mine does leak a bit if it's laying on it's side and it's full of water so I do have to keep it in an upright position in my car otherwise it will leak but it's worth it.

Spend a little more elsewhere if you need a handle

I typically wait a long time to review things to reflect accurately. This is a great jug…the lid is not. I purchased this to last a long time since that seemed to be a value of the company. I’ve dropped this jug countless times. It has dents, dings, scratches and the jug and even straw/lid still work well (no issues with leaks). However, in a very short time the screws that hold the handle to the lid had stripped out the plastic holes. I finally convinced myself to look for a replacement lid to have a handle that works but they are all out of stock. When you factor in the need to purchase a second lid in such a short time, you get very close to a widely-known competitor’s price point. If the handle is of no consequence this might be great for you but the weight of ... MoreI typically wait a long time to review things to reflect accurately. Worth it!
15 July 2023

I bought this jug about a month or so ago. I use it at work and more recently for a 15+ hour road trip. Before making the purchase I read that the biggest and most common issue was leakage. That wasn’t a dealbreaker for me necessarily, so I bought it. I did end up experiencing leaking when the bottle would fall on its side or was slanted in my lap. However, my boyfriend took a look and the seal on the lid was crooked causing water to seep out. It was a simple fix thanks to him and I haven’t had any more issues. It has held up well otherwise, water and all. I love it!
