A staple item for every tool box!

Perfect length for stapling into thin plywood where my 10mm staples just poked through, as expected from a slightly shorter staple!

My previous packet of 8mm staples, which I'd had for many years was just about to run out. I bought these as they were Stanley, always a good name, but maybe the price was an indication of what was to come.I used up the last of my old staples, no problems, attaching a plastic membrane on C16 timber. I loaded staples from the new packet and every other staple was inserted into the wood bent / broken.Unless you're using these staples for very light work / material, I'd suggest you look in tools and purchase some long nose pliers... you'll need them to get the bent staples out.

Literally the worst staples I've ever had the misfortune of using, suitable only for stapling jelly to butter. Surprising, given the Stanley brand. We were stapling thin leatherette material to dining chair seats. We had been using the Guild staples that came with our Guild manual staple gun with no issue, but these Stanley staples (the same size as the Guild ones) are a whole different story. The staples would regularly not drive properly, bending on entrance to the wood. Removing them was then an exercise in frustration as they snap at the legs leaving the sharp remains of a broken staple in the wood.We used about 50 before deciding that they are not worth our time.Completely unfit for purpose.

Bought these as the staple gun supplied ones ran out. The ones supplied with the gun were fine but the Stanley ones were rubbish. Every other one didn’t fully go into the wood and bent.

High capacity staples. The percussive force of the stapler is simply very effective; the staples hold and do not break! very easy to use in any position is on all wood species. Super product, quick to reload and easy even on a roof! Thanks Stanley!

Stanley staples - beware
29 January 2023

I'm sure these would work well in a genuine Stanley stapler, but became jammed up in mine. Other staples have a stated width of 10.2 mm, but these appear to be just 10 mm. I suggest measuring your existing supply rather carefully before purchase.

"Product Information" by Staples, in posting, stated 1/4" Leg and 1/2" wide'. (1/4" leg [height]and a 1/2" crown [width]. Product arrived, same product number as shown in description **BUT** actual size of staple is 1/4" (.250) leg x 27/64" (.420) crown ...... which will not fit/work in a 1/2" upholstery stapler !!! Total fail in product description.
