I picked this up for $20, and truly feel like it was worth the upgrade. I played this initially on PS4, and had a great time, but I felt the game lacked in several ways. Not necessarily in gameplay, though there are shortcomings in that area as well, I’m referring to some of the technical issues. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is set five years after Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. It introduces you to a cast of great new characters all of which played by professional actors using motion capture technology. Both the story and the characters are very well written, up to par with the movies, and all of it is official canon. The open world gameplay is amazing as you explore various worlds involving climbing mechanics similar to the Uncharted series. While the fighting style is similar to Dark Souls in many ways. All in all Jedi: Fallen Order is the one of the best single player Star Wars games I've played in years and is now one my favorites. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Once that is over with the game is quite enjoyable. Uncharted meets hack and slash fighting. graphics are really solid, and I loved the dynamic backgrounds in many areas. I picked the game up for $20 and it was worth every penny and more, and im curious to see what the sequel will build on from here. It will have a really great foundation to build from

This is a action adventure, story rich game! I am not even a huge star wars fan and I have enjoyed every moment of it. There is elements similar to Uncharted, there is scaling cliff sides, swinging across objects, puzzles, short cuts. The world isn't open world, but similar feeling to God of Wars semi open world. And the combat wow! So much fun, this blends some combat parts from Souls. Not in a off putting way, in a FANTASTIC way. You actually want to play, the combat is fun, rewarding. There is a bit of learning but that's the point. That's what makes it great, you learn how to parry, to time your attacks and not just mindless button mash. This is a must buy! You will not regret it.

The saber fights and world exploration are very much influenced by the more difficult SoulsBorne Series by From Software, mainly their latest release Sekiro. While still challenging, the entire combat system is made to be a lot easier and accessible - which felt appropriate for a Star Wars game. Traversing the planets operates in the same vein, with Meditation points spread around each planet, offering XP leveling when meditating, and health refills that will cause enemies to respawn in the surrounding area. The foot-by-foot traversal resembles platforming games like Uncharted and Tomb Raider, the game even has its own version Tombs, as well as it has some flavor of games like Mario in there too. The player moves through the levels back and forth, like a Metroid game, using Meditation points to eithe explore for upgrades, or to mainline story points. The amount of exploration is ultimately up to the player, as the game allows you to go back to planets freely.Lightsabers are by far the most customizable they’ve ever been, and while mostly aesthetic, there is an upgrade to a double-sided lightsaber. There are also visual customizations for your starship and your droid, who is not only incredibly helpful, but also a great companion. The crew quarters have some charm, but ultimately end up being a shallow version of Mass Effect’s crew quarters. You can even add other members, but never was I able to actually see or speak to any of them but 1. But it serves more of a purpose than necessary, so it’s quite a cool addition in the end.Overall, the game can be difficult, but there are multiple difficulty choices to help. The gameplay is incredibly fun, blending saber fights with force powers gives a good amount of choices to experiment with. Traversal can also be challenging, but the landscape is full of puzzles and alternate routes to explore, and sometimes exploit. Boss battles are present in difficulty too, as they should be. And there plenty of action set pieces to savor a Star Wars fans saliva glands. I really hope to see more Star Wars games like this one, especially from EA, as it really shows where the series can go, and what it could offer in the video game medium.

I also really liked the ending. Just a great package all round.The game also has a lot of lore to dig your teeth into, giving you written out information about even the most mundane things. I think it's a testament to how much thought and detail was put into the game. Even though I barely read most of the lore logs you scan and collect, I still appreciated the effort of it all being there. There's also a lot of throwbacks to the films and animated series, with some familiar planets for those who have seen The Clone Wars.The exploration is rewarding, the combat is solid and thrilling, and the story was great. It's also a pretty decent length. The game took me roughly 25~ hours to beat. Yet it's one of those games where it doesn't feel that long at all, because it's so fun and addicting it all just goes by in a flash. And that's the kind of thing you want in a game.I 100% recommend buying this game. Don't torrent it or anything. This is a great game which clearly had a lot of love and passion put into it, and we should really support games like this more, instead of scummy games that put out a broken product designed to take more money from you. This game is deserving of success. That is all.
Really liked this game. It was a lot of fun playing as Kal and discovering your Jedi powers. It can be a bit repetetive because after travelling to a planet, you can only get so far on the map before you run into an obstacle you cannot pass. You then have to travel away from that planet, learn the jedi skill that will get you past the obstacle on another planet, and travel back to progress through that first planet where you were stuck. Aside from that, building up powers and progressing through the game is fun. Only the ending is a bit disturbing. I was completely confused at the end of the game and had to Google it. If you haven't heard how the game ends, wait until you play it to find out how it ends. Very strange.
