Personally I am not impressed after a few hours of play. I'm trying to like this game but so far I am disappointed. This game is all about stealth and stealing. If your looking for shootouts, they a far a few between so far in my progress. I like stealth games but Star Wars Outlaws fails. The stealth in this game is constant and tedious to say the least. One mistake and it's really mission over. Poor checkpoints during these missions as well. Gameplay is generic and repetitive. The game does have big open worlds for exploration and you get the feel your in the Star Wars universe. Just keep in mind that I am only into the game a few hours and it could get better but as it is now, this is an average game that I would only buy on sale.

Honestly just wait until the game goes for $30 and gets more update patches that hopefully fix these issues otherwise stay away! That way you won't feel so aggravated if you do get this game.

I haven't seen everything in the game yet, but in my 20+ hours of playtime I can say it's a good game. If you're someone who loves star wars, this game could fit well with you. They've put such an amount of detail in the exploration, the references they leave that fans will love, and the small detail is incredible. The reputation system is cool to manage with the syndicates, as they all offer you advantages and disadvantages depending on your reputation. I do wish there were more roleplay actions you'd be able to do such as, ordering a drink at a cantina. The game does have its problems with its bugs and glitches. You will notice some texture problems with the quality randomly decreasing, or I something game breakinf like going through the map. Good game but could obviously be better
20 September 2024

The game is fun but does suffer from some obvious issues. The first being glitches which have become pretty standard for AAA titles unfortunately. I have so far experienced falling through the floor twice and also not being able to save since the game thought I was in combat despite my last combat being 30 min prior. The second issue would be the poor auto save feature which should save significantly more than it actually does. The amount of progress I’ve lost because of assuming my game had been saving when I collect things or go to a new area is decently high. I’ve now just gotten to the point of manual saving a lot more. I’m only really 10 hours in so there are certain things that I do not know if they’ll get better or not over time but Kay is also just a really ... MoreThe game is fun but does suffer from some obvious issues. The VA plays her very monotone which I have not been a huge fan of tbh. But I do like the exploring, I’m a fan of the random events and I am interested in the story so that’s why I’m giving 3 stars.

Hard to Recommend
20 September 2024

I love the premise and the main character and I was incredibly excited for this game… but it turned out to be a massive disappointment. The compulsory “stealth” sections are horrible and the gameplay is painfully repetitive. If stealth was to be a requirement, why does it feel like an afterthought mechanically? I could even deal with the repetitive nature of this game if there was more player agency on playstyle… but this was yet another big letdown for me. I abandoned Outlaws about halfway through and unfortunately won’t be finishing.

This game absolutely works for me. I'm very happy that it focuses on being with in the original trilogy for its story telling rather than the Disney nonsense we've seen these past few years. The main character is pretty good. Certainly more fleshed out than some characters in movies. Her companion reminds me of my dog so there is that. Does it have the most original gameplay ever? No, it does not. There are a few things that can get kind of boring. But overall there is enough content in the game that you will rarely be bored. The game however at the time of this review 09/03/24 is pretty buggy. I have gotten stuck in the center of tables when I quick loaded to a spot. If like Star Wars and want a pretty decent story for a heist game. Then look no further. If you aren't into stealth games nor Star Wars than by all means steer clear.

The game is pretty good. I don't know why people are giving it such a hard time. I'm pretty sure it's because it carries the Star Wars name. The world is pretty vivid. Massive Entertainment are the developers behind The Division. They took everything they learned from the open world aspect and basically took it to another level. The graphics are great on PS5. The environment and the NPC's make you feel like you are in the Star Wars universe. The missions are varied and there are plenty of them.

For a launch price of $70, this game will at best give you 10 to 15 hours of entertainment. With a bunch of filler you can maybe double that, but the “open worlds” are pretty much empty so although it brands itself as an open world, the content is pretty much on a linear rail with empty space giving the illusion that there something more to it.Technically the game is fine, I crashed out twice during my play through and had game breaking soft locks three times, but those things didn’t bug me although something to be aware of.Another annoying aspect is that even though you pay a huge price of $70 for less than 20 hours of content, the game is constantly reminding you that there’s a cash store where you can get another quest and “seasons”, which just rubbed me the ... MoreFor a launch price of $70, this game will at best give you 10 to 15 hours of entertainment. Star Wars Scoundrels Make Excellent Alternate

This is a refreshing take in terms of a Star Wars game. As much as I love using force powers and swinging around a lightsaber, exploring the underworld of Star Wars with nary a rare mention of Jedi and/or Sith besides *REDACTED SPOILER PLAY TO FIND OUT* was a great premise for this title. However, there were a few noticeable bumps that keep me from giving it the full rating.Pros:- For an open world game, the maps were right in the sweet spot in terms of size and how "alive" they felt. They didn't feel like wide swaths of just point A to point B eye candy or felt like they were filled of repetitive encounters. They also look gorgeous in 4k.- Both the speeder travel and starship/dogfight mechanics were fluid and made traversal of both planet and space fast ... MoreThis is a refreshing take in terms of a Star Wars game. They didn't feel like wide swaths of just point A to point B eye candy or felt like they were filled of repetitive encounters. They also look gorgeous in 4k.- Both the speeder travel and starship/dogfight mechanics were fluid and made traversal of both planet and space fast paced.- Gunplay with your blaster is varied and a bevy of unlock options allow you to set how you want to shoot first.- The performances are great, Kay Vess and ND-5 in particular.- The criminal syndicates you work for have their own goals and aesthetics, which add color and vibrancy to the world. Add in the Rebels and Empire inbetween Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and you have a wide variety of characters to interact with.- Nix. Your little friend is a great companion. Never in your way nor does his AI distract from the gameplay experience, in fact, it often enhances it. Plus, LOOK AT HIM. You can hear Disney executives chuckling maniacally over how much money another cuddly sidekick is going to make them in plushies alone.- The fact that I can enjoy a large amount of this game without being hawked endless DLC with additional cost, IN A UBISOFT GAME.50/50- The story, neither a pro nor a con, mainly because it feels clunky at times, but ultimately not a huge detractor from the overall experience.Cons- The facial animations out of cutscenes range from very good to "ok their mouth flaps don't even match"- The syndicates basically have the same fighting styles with different skins, which in hour 50 kinda makes gunfights ho-hum save a few different "heavy" enemies and the death troopers.- The syndicate missions also get very repetitive, and outside of the main story, expert missions, and intel side missions feel stale. Unless you need reputation or credits, they are easy to look over.- Even though it is not thrown in my face to purchase, Ubisoft still could not resist hiding a lot of content behind a $50 season pass. At least it isn't as flagrant or as tedious as what they have turned Assassin's Creed into, but we might have to thank Disney allowing them to make a Star Wars game for that.Overall, this is a great little game to pick up and play through to experience a galaxy far far away from outside the moral shakesperian epic of the light and dark side of the force. It is just fun to play a soundrel who is out for the next big score in a galaxy at war.

Ultimate Dream-Come-True Star Wars Fantasy
4 October 2024

This is the OPEN-WORLD Star Wars game that we’ve always wanted! The fantasy is completely fulfilled in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. It has the most immersive world I’ve ever experienced. The gritty underworld is awesome. The weather system is awesome. The main character is awesome. The ship is awesome. The speeder bike is awesome. The blasters are awesome. The graphics are awesome. I haven’t seen a single glitch/bug. Outlaws is absolutely PERFECT. Zero complaints. A true MASTERPIECE
