Star Wars The Clone Wars - A Pandemic System Game
The Seperatists have risen with their droid army and threaten the Republic's democracy and settlements, it is the duty of the Jedi Knights to restore order in the galaxy and find peace once more. This game is a twist on the ever popular game co-operative game, Pandemic, in this version you are attempting to accomplish specific missions to get to the commanders of the separatist army and stop their tyranny. While you are completing these missions the droid army is growing becoming a larger threat if the threat gets too great the players will lose the game. This means you must weigh up the priority of the mission against the droid uprising creating a fun balancing act of the two objectives. Only by completing your missions will you be able to fight the commander and win once and for all. Can you save the galaxy from the separatist alliance?

This is a good game for people who are fans of the Star Wars franchise. Players work together as Jedi masters, to save the galaxy from evil the miniatures and the little components are very well done and impressive. The artwork is good and the car quality and the quality of the board and pieces are good. Sometimes players might lose, and I think that this is probably a game best played with an adult and a child, and then afterwords the children can play on their own, but this is also a good game just for adults

The Covid-19 virus has killed some of my enthusiasm for the Pandemic system. But as a fan of the Clone Wars TV show, it is fun to try an contain the separatist movement through the galaxy.Still haven't won a game yet.

I tend not to like cooperative games, but I love Star Wars. In the case of this game, my love for the theme outweighed my natural bias against the mechanisms. The pandemic bones are clearly here, but I like what this adds to the formula. I like the straightforwardness of completing missions. The easiest way to do it is to work together, but that means no one is keeping the droids in check. The villains keep slowly turning up the heat, so being slow and methodical does not work. One of my big complaints about co-op games is when I can spend a whole turn doing stuff only to have the game undo it all. Since this is focused on completing missions, it rarely feels like that happens. The theme is where the game shines. I like that all of the missions come straight from the Clone Wars series. While this game does not create Star Wars stories quite as well as Rebellion, it can still get fun instances like Darth Maul and Mace Windu clashing on Coruscant.I like how the first couple of turns everything feels manageable, and then by turn four it suddenly does not. This game is tense and walks the thin line that is right between "We don't have a chance" and "We can do this." Generally, I find co-op games more annoying than fun. Having missions to complete is very concrete so it feels like progress toward a goal is always possible. I think this game is especially fun for a cooperative game.

This game is really fun! Zman Games did a great job converting the Pandemic rules into Star Wars. I do wish the missions were a little bit more interactive instead of just collecting cards, but this does not ruin the game. The cooperative form is good too - even my wife enjoys playing, where she normally doesn't.
If you like Pandemic series of games, you will like it. The first reviewer says that it is boring and her kids lost interest trying to learn the rules - that is not a reflection on the game. I assume she and her family wouldn't like any of the Pandemic system games. So, again, don't let that sway you if you are a fan of the style of game in general.
I only give this three stars because I don't think Pandemic is a long-term mainstay for my game group anymore; that said, if you still enjoy Pandemic or any of its variants on the regular, and ESPECIALLY if you are into Star Wars, this is a must-buy. Beautiful production value, unique art, high replayability due to easily-scaled difficulty and multiple villains, and some incredibly accessible twists on the usual Pandemic formula make this a game that I fully appreciate and respect; even though we're not keeping our copy, we absolutely loved playing through it as a "mini campaign" tackling each unique villain to see how it impacted the game. Even at that level, it was worth the experience.
It was a good game, especially as a huge fan of the Clone Wars era. Artwork is gorgeous and the character selection is great. My biggest complaint about the game would be that it's almost too easy. In fact, next time we play we are going to adjust some rules just to increase the difficulty.
Very well produced. Lots of replayability. I like the "combat" tests that make you loose cards. Veteran pandemic players may want to ratchet up the difficulty on this, because it is slightly easier to win.
I'm the father of two young kids who are getting into gaming and who both love The Clone Wars animated show. This delivers just enough options and potential for decision-making to keep them engaged without overwhelming them with rules and corner cases. We've not played any of the other Pandemics, but this was a thematic and mechanical hit with my target audience. I'll keep it on the shelf as a gateway game in the future.
BORING!! Tooooo many moves & instructions to follow-role playing type of game. My kid lost interest just trying to get through instructions on how to play. You’d like it if your into that type of game.
