It was always gonna a be a Bethesda game, and it definitely is. If you like their games, definitely buy it. I’m the type that has multiple thousands of hours in Skyrim having played it for so many years and knowing every little thing it has to offer, and this will be the replacement to it for the next decade.I bought this upgrade after playing even though I already pre-ordered the deluxe on steam. It was so good I just needed the patch and steel book. Gorgeous stuff too. The steel book is a great displaypiece

The devil is in the details, the product description says UP TO 5 DAYS EARLY ACCESS. Unfortunately Best Buy put the access code with the collector's case(a terrible decision) so for almost everyone who pre ordered this for the early access its a complete fail. If you want the DLC content just get it from microsoft or elsewhere that knows better than to ship a DLC code...Last pre order from Best Buy!

Well, fist off bestbuy messed up the early release, we know that. As for the game, it is kind of ehhh. The story is really good, the graphics amazing, but honestly for someone who was going off the trailer and description the game itself is kind of mid. For all the hype and the descriptions I expected a space game, but it really is just a game set in space. You want to take off in your spacecraft, cut screen, want to land, cut screen, want to travel, cut screen. It is an RPG and that aspect is pretty good, but for a game that claims to be in the Starfield, you just are not in the stars. Especially when I hear stuff like "25 year in the making" it just feels like Fallout 4 wanting to be in space. You can explore planets and that is amazing, but I really thought I would be able to explore the universe and that is just not possible.
Fun game if you are a fan of Fallout 4 or Skyrim. Hours and hours of replay value. It gets alot of negative reactions because its 30fps and not 60 fps like you see in a black ops game, but the massive amount of content makes up for it and it still looks pretty even with the reduced frame rate.i recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of open world quests and building your own structures
For the people that thought they would get this early , they should of ordered the digital , or picked it up on Friday. It’s funny how they get mad that they didn’t get the steel case in the mail day 1 is hilarious. Don’t listen to the Karen’s and kens below . Now about the game , it’s mediocre and craxy you have to load to walk in every door . Do you wver fight more then 4 people ever ? Game is definitely a 7 max
The pre-order arrived on time for the early access. The game itself had its issues but there is a lot of quality here.Pros: Plenty of missions, factions, side quests and content to keep you occupied for a ton if hours. Meaningful dialogue choices can and will determine the outcome of a lot of interactions. Really good game.Cons: A bit of a slow start. The procedurally generated worlds get dull to explore, they are fully explorable, just not seamless. A LOT of loading screens.
The space aspect is very lack luster. More of a back drop than an implementation. There are better games for that. But the RPG side of things is fallout 4 polished to a diamond. Better writing, music, optional settlement/outpost, I think it's great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for another great Bethesda game to get lost in.
 I pre-ordered this game with the intent to be able to play it on September 1 when the pre-order indicated that you would be able to play if you pre-ordered this particular version ahead of time. No games in the mail today and my order says it will not be delivered until Sunday. Thanks for ruining my three day weekend Best Buy. I will be returning this one immediately as I have already ordered from GameStop since I can’t play it on day one anyway.  looks like I’m going to continue keeping my business at Amazon and GameStop for now. I am done with Best Buy. 
I pre-ordered this edition for the 5 day early-access, in addition to the physical goodies rather that you cannot get through Microsoft. Who's bright idea was it to SHIP THE ACCESS CODE??? The incompetence is insane on this one. One of the most highly anticipated games so far this decade and they botch it like this. We should ALL be getting refunds. Absolutely absurd. And the worst part is that the email to redeem Gamepass access came immediately but the code for the game is in the package?! And they got shipped so they'll arrive at best, 1 day early if we're lucky... WORST BUY!
