The cable is not superior quality but not bad quality either. For the price, i think it is a good value.

The startech usb2cc1m is a decent cable all around. Manufacturing is decent but not the best due to the stamped connectors. As well, this being a usb 2.0 spec cable you won't see any speed or superspeed benefits, you may have power draw limitations and you might have issues with some video bandwidth, but of course this is expected from usb 2.0. However, the combination of usb type c and usb 2.0 makes it somewhat odd in this "day and age".The startech usb2cc1m does feature usb-if certification and startech's lifetime warranty, so those are good.

With my new htc 10, i as well got the type-c cable. I decided to upgrade my computer with a type c pci-e connection, so this little cable is just what i needed - a c to c connector. I find it to work fine.The cable is somewhat lighter built than the one that came with my phone, but it charges fine and has good data transfer rates. Construction seems ok, with bracing at the joint where the cable meets the connector. The connectors fit my computer and my phone easily.Summary: a decent basic cable. If the price is right, you should consider it.

Both cables transferred data at about the same rate, moving the same 4gb music collection to the phone?€™s sd card in about 25 minutes. I am not sure if this cable can be used with qualcomm?€™s quick charge technology or the rapid charge tech employed in the nexus 6p and 5x, but i imagine it can since before the type-c port came about, phones used usb 2.0 cables and quick-charge technology worked just fine. Overall, this is just a cable that isn?€™t as fast as more expensive ones. If you just need to charge your phone, it?€™s a much better buy than one with the 3.1 spec, but if you care about data transfer speeds for something like an external hard drive, you?€™ll probably enjoy the boost in speed enough to justify the extra cost.
It works in general. Tried to use the one with AC powered devices without problems, but found it's not so good with USB 3.0 powered hub. Not sure what's wrong with it. Found the mismatch of design with public shared image. It's not the same. So it's not excellent, but good enough.
Male male c cable, rubber along the out side and good connection. Allows your mac book or crom book to connect with a usb port. As far as these cables go this one is well made and works well.
Very few computers have a usb c port, so this cable was primarily used for charging. It works as well as the stock cable that came with my nexus 6p. It took the same time period to charge to 100%.
This startech 3' usb-c cable is a great way to charge your phone or mobile device from a compatible computer that is as well using type c. It's a good sturdy cable, well made, and follows the quality i've come to expect from startech cables. Provides a good, solid connection. Definite recommended.
This didn't actually work for my needs, but it appears to be a problem with the OTG gadget I need to plug in to my phone and not with the adapter, because it seems to work otherwise. You can definitely find these adapters cheaper, but I suspect the quality is a little better on a StarTech.
The usb-c connection is becoming the new standard for not just data tansfer but power, video, audio, ethernet and much more replacing all the old usb cords, serial cables, parallel cables, the huge variety of audio and video cables plus the span of power cords - all in one single cable, even simultaneously if needed. This particular startech cable is made with quality construction.
