No problems with communication, video signal and high frequencies monitors. Also, the cable comes with a lock system that prevents disconnections or loose connections.Besides, this cable is certified by displayport.org, just go there and look for StarTech DP14MM2M.Go for it! Was having issues with my monitor with the earlier cable, the signal would cut at anything beyond 80Hz at 1440p. Spent ages looking for the problem and couldn't identify anything. Bought the cable as a last resort and now everything works smoothly.

This product is displayport certified. You should only get a certified displayport cable as the tech is more complicated than an OG coax cable or something where the quality of the cable doesn't matter. This cable works well. I bought 2. Runs as intended for my dual 2k 144hz gsync monis.
Been struggling for a while with my 5k LG and my 3840x1200 Lenovo, as the supplied cables caused a flicker in some applications when running at any refresh rate above 60Hz. And your 120Hz & 144Hz displays aren't appealing at 60Hz.So I figured I'd try a new DP1.4 cable that was on the certified list at displayport.org to see if it was just crappy cables. Sure enough, these startech cables are 100% flicker free. Also isn't sensitive to being handled like the LG bundled cable was. Simply touching the cable or moving it would cause it to lose sync. Luckily they're both connected to Nvidia GPUs, so they use the virtual display adapter which can recover from brief losses of sync without crashing whatever it's running.Don't know about the durability yet, but I don't ... MoreBeen struggling for a while with my 5k LG and my 3840x1200 Lenovo, as the supplied cables caused a flicker in some applications when running at any refresh rate above 60Hz. I figure the lifetime warranty should cover it if there's a problem, as startech has been good to work with the few times I had problems with some other, older products. So I expect it should be fine if I have a problem in the future.
Got 2 cables to run a pair of Asus VG248 monitors at 1920x 1080 @144 Hz. The hooked ok and everything looked good. After about 2 weeks the first cable stopped working swapped ports on the card , swapped on the monitors dead. New egg did the RMA and cables off in the mail for replacement. then yesterday the other cable died. I guess they aren't built fo rthe refresh rate or something. Going to get a different brand. Cables may be ok for a less demanding use.
I discovered that for a DisplayPort cable, the VESA certification is quite meaningful. I used another, otherwise very well made cable that had not obtained certification, and it did not function properly with my GTX1650 SUPER and a 2K monitor, where this StarTech.com cable worked just as expected in the same configuration. There are other factors, but the relevant one was that a VESA approved DisplayPort cable does NOT connect pin 20 through. It's a 3.3V power that apparently can disrupt things if the other end isn't expecting or prepared for power to be supplied there.
I rarely give 5 stars. But do so when I find a quality and reliable product. My 3rd cable purchase from these guys. They seem to make quite good stuff. Quality seems visible. I will return again for future needs.
Picture quality is superb, works perfect on 2K 144 hz monitor! Gaming on it is crisp and smooth. Don't cheap out on your Displayport cable, get this one! I would buy another if I needed it
Pros: Did everything I'd hoped forCons: Insanely expensive for what it is (although after price checking this isn't specific to Box)
