Ethernet cables have writing on the sleeve, giving tech specs about the cable. Sometimes it is very richly colored, sometimes it is not. I had a need to expose a white cable, & searched for one that had faintly-visible writing on the sleeve. (I couldn't do a 'extra slim' cable at 50', & certainly didn't want flat) The ad pictures showed this to be the best contender. I received it today, and YES it is. The spec writing on the sleeve is very faint, thank you! Yes the cable design is fine & speeds are great. Great price too. Thank you startech. I recommend this cable.

I've used thousands of these and they work every time. I've had zero defective new cables. The only issue I have with these are they packaging not the product. Each cable is individual packaged in a sealed plastic bag that must be ripped open. After removing it from the bag you then have to remove 2 twist ties. This is just a neucance but does not take away from the quality of the product. Packaging simply makes me think of it being "sealed for freshness". As if it would would be a stale potato chip in any other packaging.

I purchased this cable to connect my home PC directly to my router, which is about 40ft away on the far side of the house. I opted for a longer cable to compensate for the various bends in the wall and to be able to run the cable more discreetly. So far everything works as advertised. I am able to get high data transfer, specifically I was looking to improve my internet speed and connection stability (previously I had been having issues with my wifi), and this did the trick.

I'm setting up some outdoor PoE Security Cameras and figured 50 feet for each would be sufficient. So far, these have worked out great. Pros: -Feels Durable -No Connection loss / bad cords -Not easily kinked Cons: -Not rated for outdoors Overall: I've looked through a LOT of Ethernet cords to find the right set for a reasonable price. I ran these through my attic where they won't be exposed to the elements and I've had no issues whatsoever.
It's a StarTech. What more do I need to say? If you've never used StarTech, you won't be disappointed. StarTech stands behind their products 150%. If StarTech's ad says their products will do certain things, believe it. I've been using StarTech products for years and never regretted ANY purchase made. I've never had to return ANY product bought from them. All said to say this... You will NOT be disappointed with buying StarTech products. No I don't work for StarTech, I'm just a VERY HAPPY long term customer. Once you make your first StarTech purchase, you'll join the ranks of IT brothers and sisters who rely solely on StarTech products by saving money, time and having strong network reliability.
Pros: I'm upgrading to gigabit ethernet in the home so they are drop in replacements for cat5 cables. Seem to do the job, but this is domestic, so I've not done proper testing. I've successfully used Starlink brand cables before, and have had no nasty surprises in the month I have used these cables.Cons: Seem OK, I've not tested, nothing bad so far (30 days).
Long UTP cables come in all shapes and forms. You may wish to check the thickness if you need to route your cable under the carpet. Not trying to save money by going for a shorter cable is usually a bad trade-off between usability and economics.
Plugged in cable and the internet went to its maximum download and upload speeds. Children very happy now can game without stuttering and slow internet.
Pros: Great bit of kit. Less than 5% difference to download speed from plugging computer directly into the router, despite 2 adapters being on opposite sides of house. Don't have to sacrifice a socketCons: To get max speeds needs a higher quality ethernet cable (6 series or higher). Would be good if those cables came as standard with the product (comes supplied with 2 basic cables). however the higher quality cables are relatively cheap to buy separately
This is a well-made cable and a great value, as are most StarTech products. Bottom line, it "just works." The one criticism I have is that it does not come with the connector shown in the product page photo. Instead, it has, as shown in my photo, a pair of fins on either side. This is generally effective, but can be awkward to use in some cases - especially when space is tight.
