It ended up being the wrong cable for what I initially needed (my own mistake) but I found another use for it and it works perfectly.

Another failure

I get no signal from a DisplayPort on a MSI CUBI5 to HDMI1 on a Dell S2722QC. Both the monitor port and the CUBI5 port work when connected to other devices. Waste of money, especially given the price of these cables.

Not working is the only feature!!

My company gave me 2 of these cables for my office setup and my PC can detect none screen thru this trash!! After wasting an hour of try & error, I went dig out several old HMDI/DP cables and everything works in second.

StarTech display ports

Properly fitted cable ports and crystal clear displays. No delays recognizable between the two monitors and these connecting cables.

Startech DP to HDIM Cables for use with HP Elite Desk 800 full tower.

When I installed these cables, they worked as expected. If you have a computer with ++DP and a monitor with HDMI in, these cables work at the 1080p or 1200p 16:10 resolutions. I do not have monitors with higher resolutions so I cannot say whether they support anything higher. The cables connect to a 6 in, 2 out switch, which connects via another 15 feet of HDMI cables, through another 6 in 2 out switch then through 25 foot cables terminating at the two monitors. My setup is a little unconventional but it works fine for my needs. Other devices also share those switches like game systems and other computers.

Used this to add a second monitor to my iMac (late 2015). No extra adaptor required, plugged right into my second monitor’s HDMI socket and worked immediately. Nice thick cable so I imagine it’ll last.
