This is a nice, strong cable with the extra feature of 2 humps on each side of the little delicate piece in the middle of the heads, which clicks into place. This is great because if that piece gets snagged, it can break easily, and then it won't stay securely in place. It's also a nice, stiff cable that will not bend at the base of each head, which would compromise the integrity of the wire. It also won't flatten without a heck of a lot of weight on it. I'm very pleased with the 75 foot cable and may buy a 100 foot cable as a spare, if this company has it.

I am amazed with what this cable did. It over doubled my Download and Upload Speeds. I was not expecting it to be this fast. These cables are pure copper wire.

Pros: Does what it says on the tin. Good ethernet cable.Cons: It was advertised as snagless (and the pictures show two snagless plugs), however the cable that was sent to me looks different to the one in the photos (the plugs don't have the rubber flap in front of the plastic lever to protect it).To be honest I don't care about this difference so it's not a problem for me, plus I understand orders might currently be harder to fulfil due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ethernet cables have writing on the sleeve, giving tech specs about the cable. Sometimes it is very richly colored, sometimes it is not. I had a need to expose a white cable, & searched for one that had faintly-visible writing on the sleeve. (I couldn't do a 'extra slim' cable at 50', & certainly didn't want flat) The ad pictures showed this to be the best contender. I received it today, and YES it is. The spec writing on the sleeve is very faint, thank you! Yes the cable design is fine & speeds are great. Great price too. Thank you startech. I recommend this cable.
The important thing is that this cable delivers the promised speed. But, for a premium priced, name brand cable, it has surprisingly flimsy connectors. The plastic ears that are supposed to make this “snagless”, are so fragile that the slightest sideways pressure will bend and snap them off. I’d avoid this cable for applications requiring threading it through tight spaces.Otherwise, the cable itself has a substantial feel, which makes it a bit stiff. A consideration if sharp bends are required.I bought this cable over considerably lower priced and lesser known brands, to avoid the higher percentage of reported failures and poor performance, but for the price, the fragile connectors reduced it’s value.
I'm setting up some outdoor PoE Security Cameras and figured 50 feet for each would be sufficient. So far, these have worked out great. Pros: -Feels Durable -No Connection loss / bad cords -Not easily kinked Cons: -Not rated for outdoors Overall: I've looked through a LOT of Ethernet cords to find the right set for a reasonable price. I ran these through my attic where they won't be exposed to the elements and I've had no issues whatsoever.
It's a StarTech. What more do I need to say? If you've never used StarTech, you won't be disappointed. StarTech stands behind their products 150%. If StarTech's ad says their products will do certain things, believe it. I've been using StarTech products for years and never regretted ANY purchase made. I've never had to return ANY product bought from them. All said to say this... You will NOT be disappointed with buying StarTech products. No I don't work for StarTech, I'm just a VERY HAPPY long term customer. Once you make your first StarTech purchase, you'll join the ranks of IT brothers and sisters who rely solely on StarTech products by saving money, time and having strong network reliability.
Pros: I'm upgrading to gigabit ethernet in the home so they are drop in replacements for cat5 cables. Seem to do the job, but this is domestic, so I've not done proper testing. I've successfully used Starlink brand cables before, and have had no nasty surprises in the month I have used these cables.Cons: Seem OK, I've not tested, nothing bad so far (30 days).
Good Points: Does what it says on the tin. Good ethernet cable.Improvement Points: It was advertised as snagless (and the pictures show two snagless plugs), however the cable that was sent to me looks different to the one in the photos (the plugs don't have the rubber flap in front of the plastic lever to protect it).To be honest I don't care about this difference so it's not a problem for me, plus I understand orders might currently be harder to fulfil due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This is a well-made cable and a great value, as are most StarTech products. Bottom line, it "just works." The one criticism I have is that it does not come with the connector shown in the product page photo. Instead, it has, as shown in my photo, a pair of fins on either side. This is generally effective, but can be awkward to use in some cases - especially when space is tight.
