I want to start off this review by saying that I have ordered other items from Starwest Botanicals in the past and been very pleased with the quality of the items. To Starwest Botanicals, please find a different higher quality source for your organic eucalyptus, even if it is more expensive.This tea has no eucalyptol flavor, and just tastes like the eucalyptus tannins you get when you're brewing a batch of eucalyptus . I don't know what happened, but at some point along the way the terpenes were either oxidized or degraded, and the flavor isn't pleasant. I lived in California for years and know what good blue gum eucalyptus smells like - this is not it.If you are looking for a source for organic bulk blue gum eucalyptus, please look elsewhere.
I am highly disappointed in my purchase. There is no eucalyptus flavor to the leaves and it just tastes like eucalyptus tannins. No strong eucalyptol flavor like good quality organic eucalyptus and weak effect compared to others I have tried. I lived in California for years and I know what good Blue Gum Eucalyptus smells like...this is not it. If you are looking for bulk eucalyptus for any purpose, please look elsewhere.I have ordered other items from Starwest Botanicals and have had no problems, so I would recommend Starwest Botanicals seriously look into sourcing from a different organic eucalyptus source of higher aromatic quality, even if it means increasing the price.
I love Starwest botanicals, so far all my herbs have been wonderful. However, I have now tried the eucalyptus leaf powder twice, and they smell like straw. There is no aroma at all. Not sure what happened, hopefully my next purchase of this wonderful plant is full of aroma.
