These cocottes are so fun to use. I love the dark blue color and hope to get some more staub items to go with it. I recently used them to make creme brulee and they're great little snack cups. I have a picture of the dessert before I fired the top - you can see i have a set in white as well.These are also pretty durable. I was transporting them in the car and my carrying case containing the cocottes fell on the floor, making a pretty loud crash. After opening up the case and looking at them, there was no damage - chips or scuffs - on the cups or the lids. Whew!

I put this on my wedding registry and initially felt a little silly because we had also put ramekins on, which are very similar. However, these little cocottes are just GORGEOUS and they are such good quality I can see myself using them for years to come! The lids make it easy to store leftovers and the red color is so beautiful I can see myself using them for a dinner party for a dessert. In short, if you’re on the fence, I’d buy them!
These little cocottes look great and seem fun to use for small dishes. The only thing I found underwhelming was the quality. Maybe I was unlucky, but some of the cocottes and lids had small holes in them when brand new. I would expect better quality from Staub.
These little guys are absolutely incredible! They keep toppings like herbs (even cilantro), green onions, lime wedges, cheese, etc. good in the fridge for significantly longer than something like a plastic bag does. They easily clean off in the dishwasher and are a cute addition to a table setting, as well. Love them so much and look forward to cooking with them at some point too.
Some things make you happy just looking at them. That's what happened to me when i was looking for French onion soup crocks. Although they were too small for what I wanted, I had to buy the set. I love the color. They're perfect for a small hot or cold side. And as an afterthought, they'd be a welcome addition on a desk or dresser top for favorite items.
These Staub ceramic cocottes are an interesting - and wonderful! - counterpart to the Staub cast iron cocottes that are their equivalent in aesthetic and size but not practicality. I adore the ways in which I can use these for small snacks, for microwavable items, even to bring on to my roof terrace so that I can cover them and keep them safe from Manhattan bug life. Wonderful - very fairly priced, very useful, and, no, I was not paid for this review in any regard and don't ordinarily review much at all unless I'm seriously impressed.
I had already seen these in person, so I already knew what to expect. They are about 3.75” diameter on the inside. As I’ve been getting better at cooking, I’ve learned some things are worth the price. I’ve heard very good things about these/this brand. They last forever & keep food hot longer (I hate room temp food!). They are very cute. You get what you pay for & Black Friday pricing makes these not so bad :) enjoy!
I know - I should’ve been more careful. The Staub name swayed me. I love the large enamel cast iron cocotte I have for roasting chicken. These tiny things are useless. If you want to make a small crème brûlée, they might be ok for that. Also in the product materials it says these are only made for 300 degrees in the oven. I can’t think of anything I bake or roast at 300. If you’re thinking mini apple pies or mini chicken pot pies - they’re far too small. Shipping is free directly from Staub but if you try to return them I I wonder what it would cost. Many reviews say “part of a promotion”.
