This 18cm cocotte is the perfect size for cooking small batch soups, sauces and stocks. With cast iron on the inside, it allows for even browning. The enamelled outside also makes it very easy to clean. I love how this cocotte heats up very quickly on the stove, as I am often pressed for time.

I now have two Staub pots having recently added the one with steamer insert. They are the best cookware i have ever used and believe me i have tried all the top brands over the years. So versatile, they reduce cooking time , food retains all their flavours and goodness and they are so easy to clean. The fact that they look so good on the cook top is a bonus .

Received my Basil Green 18cm Cocotte on the 30th January this year.Love it. Cooks beautifully, add required water, and because of the speciallid which causes droplets to form, the liquid stays the same. I already have a larger red Staub casserole, which I use a lot. Wanted something smaller, bought the 18cm. Looks lovely, and a real pleasure to use. Highly recommended. Looks nice on the table when our family gathers.
Beautiful green pot for long slow cooks. The colour is amazing and the points inside the lid help keep moisture in the dish on slow cooks. I highly recommend this little pot!

I saw these in France - a major step up from Le Creuset - heavier and has a self basting feature in the lid - perfect for whole poultry and pieces of meat - the weight also ensures constant heat for stews was well as brazing - the finish is good to leave on the cook-top. - worth the investment - i have a couple of weddings coming up > the perfect gift that will be used and last a lifetime.A young mother was standing next to me in the store and she ended up buying one as well once i explained to her why the brand is so good!
