A much cheaper Tramontina dutch oven has served me well for 12 years, but it had several chips so time to replace. A great sale price and gift card put this Staub within reach. It is an absolute pleasure to use, it's just slightly lighter weight and the flat top is a convenient place to rest a utensil. I'm still getting used to having a metal handle that gets hot, but appreciate that it's oven safe to a higher temperature. The black interior not discoloring is a bonus to keep it feeling new.

The Staub Cherry Cocotte is a beautiful piece of cookware, completely in another league from any of its competitors—even Le Creuset. I love my Staub, more than any other kitchen item I own. I've been wanting to get a Staub Cocotte for quite a while and finally found a good deal here at Consiglio's! I wished to prep foods that's about right portion for 4-6 people, and 4 QT seemed right for 4 ppl and 5 QT (or 5.5) for 6ish people, which made me unable to decide between 4 and 5 QTs. As I found that 4 QT had better deal, I went for this! The 4 QT one is not too heavy yet still not small, so it was the right choice.Their delivery system is amazing. It arrived within less 2 full days after my purchase, with enough (but still environmentally-friendly) protections.I'm so excited and satisfied with my purchase here at Consiglio's. I will definitely trust these people.

The 7qt in turquoise is my first Dutch oven, and I can't stop looking at it! Perfect for batch cooking, especially roasts and meat stews. The enameled cast iron makes such a difference in retaining cooking heat and cooking everything evenly. With my other pans, higher heat was needed to keep a simmer, but this Dutch oven lets me get that same simmer at a lower burner setting. The result is more tender meats, vegetables that don't get mushy, and flavorful broths. I didn't become a better cook overnight; this pot made all the difference in elevating my standard recipes to a new level
I love Staub. I have a 4 qt Dutch oven, a 1.5 qt rice cooker, and the mini wok. I love all of them. I wasn’t impressed by the color (lavender) and, being that it’s a half quart shy of the standard 6 quart, I decided to return it and get the 7 quart. However, by the time you processed the return for the 5 1/2 quart, the 7 quart was no longer on its neverending sale and was available for $440-$470, which I haven’t been able to stomach doing. So I’m waiting for it to go on sale again, but several holidays have come and gone with no sale on the 7 quart, so who knows when that will ever happen again? Staub cookware is the best. Nothing cooks like a Staub.
I ordered the ice blue 5.2L Cocotte. The color is gorgeous! My package came very quickly and it was packed with great care. The pot arrived in excellent condition. The lid was packaged in a cardboard form to protect it from scratching which was really nice! It comes with plastic protectors as well. I suggest keeping them for storage. It comes with a care booklet as well. The pot is a good size for many different dishes.
The lip inside the lid is poorly enameled. It arrived already slightly rusted where it's not fully coated. For the price point on these, I expected top quality. Other than that I'd give it five stars. I purchased the 7 quart in basil. The design of the lid is nice. It does truly hold all of the moisture in. Very nice for slow cooking. The lid doesn't rattle while cooking either. The color is very pretty, but it is slightly different than pictured. I liked the picture better. I also like that the interior is black so no staining. Great if you like to make curries. The quality did not meet my expectations though.
This is our first Staub and Dutch oven - the jewel like teal is beautiful. We made roast chicken for our first meal - it was delicious. The Dutch oven was so easy to clean. I have to mention the amazing customer service we received. The first Dutch oven delivered to me had a small issue but Sim from Consiglio was so responsive. Within a week I got a refund and a new one was shipped to me. Sim also inspected and sent me pics of the new one before it was sent out. Of course it was perfect. What other store would give you this kind of service? I will always try to buy from Consiglio !
The Staub Cast Iron Round Cocotte is a game-changer for any kitchen. With its 5.5-quart capacity, it serves 5-6 people perfectly. Made in France, its quality craftsmanship ensures even heat distribution for consistently delicious meals. Its versatility makes it ideal for a variety of cooking tasks, from braising to simmering. Plus, the sleek matte black finish adds a touch of elegance. A must-have addition to your culinary arsenal.
I’ve been dreaming to purchase one of this kind of cookware since I start watching Ree Drummond of Food network few years ago. I found her kitchen simple classy yet functional. It seems that every food she prepares for her family are exceptionally delicious because of the way she cook (with love and passion) and the cookware she used. I have other pans but I think this product will definitely level my cooking way up though I grapple which brand to buy but base on what I’ve read, I think I made the best choice. I’m so excited to use it as soon as it arrives. To be continued….
