Made in France, Staub cast iron is surrounded by 3 layers on enamel on the interior and 3 layers of a beautiful glaze on the exterior. No need to season these pots and they can even go in the dishwasher if necessary. Interior is slightly textured for a perfect brown or sear and easy release. The lids have continuous basting beads for a consistently moist environment during cooking. No wonder restaurants prefer to cook in Staub. This pot will not disappoint.

I purchased this product from the Zwilling US website, and decided to risk "visual imperfections" because the price was so tempting. I have a number of other Staub pans, and was delighted to find this one.The pan arrived promptly and though I inspected it carefully, I failed to find any imperfections.The pan performs to the expected Staub high standards. I boiled a batch of potates in it and of course they turned out perfectly.I highly recommend Staub pans. They offer top notch performance and heirloom longevity.

I just got my 5.2 l cocotte and am so excited. The la mer color is absolutely gorgeous. It is the perfect size for two people with leftovers. Just made my first meal and it turned out perfect!
An extremely versatile and good looking piece of cookware.The cocotte feels like quality and looks great. The size is enough for a medium to large sized whole chicken or other meat/large vegetables, and this cocotte cut down cooking time for a number of meals. The flavour was great.Cleaning is easy, but make sure you follow the basic use instructions so as not to ruin your Staub.All I need now are the matching pieces in the other sizes.
I had been eyeing off the Staub 28cm pot for a few years now and I finally bit the bullet! Wow. What an impressive piece of cookware. It’s heavy bottomed so you want to take that into consideration with your ability but I can see many family dinners being cooked in this for years to come. The teal colour is stunning also!
This was my first experience buying a French/Dutch oven and I’m so happy I ordered it from Consiglio’s. Shipping was incredibly fast. And the cocotte itself is perfect. I already used it 4 times within the first 48 hours and had no issues. I’m so glad I went with the colour La Mer since it is gorgeous yet dark enough so that I won’t worry about any potential stains from baking
Excellent pot! The cast iron body heats up evenly. The black textured interior browns and caramelizes beautifully. The under side of the lids have self basting spikes which circulate the moisture to keep food full of moisture and flavor. The beautiful colors and the heat retention make a perfect presentation on the table. Great for soups, chili, sauces and also roasting and baking bread.. I have a 5.5 qt dark blue cocotte and a 7 qt grenadine. I cook and braise everything in them including bread. Everything comes out perfectly. Everything. I give as wedding gifts to my family members along with a handwritten recipe book. They love the cocotte as much as I do!
