This is a lovely little pot for melting butter and what not. I've been using it to poach eggs. It works perfectly for one egg. You need a tiny amount of olive oil in the water though to inhibit any sticking. We use it more than I thought we would! The color gives it a stone wear pottery glaze look which I like.
If you do not have a fondue pot, this is an excellent substitute.It’s great for melting cheese, chocolate, caramel and butter.This is the mini I use for lobster and crab cocktail. As you would expect, it will hear quickly and evenly and stay hot longer.The long handle is a bonus.Excellent pot!!

The matte texture give great browning and easy release. The spikes on the underside of the lid help keep my sauces from drying out, redistributing moisture as it condenses.
